At the 26th annual Golden Gate Bridging there were 3,158 girl participants and 2,310 adult participants who joined in the springtime fun. Membership Girls: 27,333 Adults: 18,769 Outreach Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area continued partnerships with Housing & Urban Development (HUD), local Boys & Girls’ Clubs, and community outreach centers such as Glide Memorial Church to serve underrepresented parts of our local communities. Urban teams concentrated their membership recruitment and retention efforts resulting in 2,200 girls registered in underserved areas, including San Francisco, Oakland and Richmond. Francisco Bay Developed by girls, GSSTB teaches girls about critical issues that affect their home, their families and the future – and how they can make a difference now and over their lifetime. In 2007, four Girl Scouts Save the Bay events hosted a total of 2,726 participants. Girls Go Tech Girls Go Tech is a program initiative to empower girls through increased conﬁdence in math, science, technology and engineering. There were 49 girls at the NASA Aeronautics & Robotics Camp, 15 girls on Lego Robotics Teams, and 3 girls on NASA’s FIRST Robotics Team. In 2007, 11 Girls Go Tech events took place with a total of 1,019 participants. Camp CEO In its fourth year, Camp CEO had nearly 70 girl and mentor participants with a record high of new executive women joining the team of mentors. Girls were empowered to reach new heights at the fourth annual Camp CEO including four full days of activities like horseback riding, archery , swimming, the high ropes adventure course, and important girl-to-mentor dialogues.
