Webasto BlueComfort Classic


BlueComfort Classic is an integrated climate control system from Webasto.


The system comprises a compact Webasto water heater and the BlueComfort Classic
Air Conditioning unit.


When running in cooling mode the Air Conditioning functions as normal and the
heater is dormant. When heat is required the Heater is activated and provides heated
water to an extra heat exchanger within the Air Conditioning unit. The Air Conditioning
unit operates as a heater and blows hot air into the cabins.



The whole system is controlled by the Air Conditioning Controller.

Webasto BlueComfort Classic – Operating Priciples

The BTU requirements for the BlueComfort Classic Units are calculated in the
same way we calculate the requirements for a standard self contained system.


A special heater with customized program is available to complement the system:
Thermo Top E Comfort Classic 12V Diesel, Ref. 9019718A

The rest of the system is specified in the same way that we specify a BlueCool
Classic air conditioning system.

It is possible to fit standard Air Conditioning ducting and accessories as the
temperature is not too high for these components.


The heater is installed using standard marine heater parts and accessories and
can be mounted in the machinery space with the heated water simply piped to
the units.


Flexible hose or better a suitable “Push Fit” pipe such as Hep2O can be used to
connect the heater to the air conditioning unit or units.
