Description

ScotchMark 7000, 7000FL, 7011 and 7110 White Paper Label Stocks are designed for narrow web
presses using flexographic, UV letterpress, screen, and/or gravure printing processes. These label stocks
are precision-coated with 3M’s #320 “Hi-Tenacity” Acrylic Adhesive and incorporate 3M’s premium
semi-bleached kraft liner. These products accommodate automatic application to pharmaceutical packages
and containers. The adhesive performance is superior in difficult applications and environments which
include all generally practiced sterilization processes. It also offers far superior flag resistance on many
small radius bottles, ampules, vials and related health care products and packages. The health care
disposables, cosmetic, office products and household products industries also find these products meet
their specifications.

Flag Resistance: ScotchMark 7000, 7011, and 7110 Label Stocks have excellent flagging resistance and
application to curved surfaces especially glass and low surface energy plastics.

Environmental Performance

The properties defined are based on the 180 degree peel, 12”/min (305 mm/min), 1” wide sample to a
stainless steel substrate.

Water Immersion: Delamination upon removal after four hours at room temperature.

Isopropyl Alcohol Immersion: Delamination upon removal after four hours at room temperature.

Detergent/Water Immersion: Delamination upon removal after four hours at room temperature.

Cold Temperature: Significant success with freezing and refrigerating containers prio
                                 to labeling.

Sterilization Process: ScotchMark 7000, 7011 & 7110 Label Stocks are specifically designed
for excellent flagging resistance on small diameter glass vials following
steam autovclave, gamma or ethylene oxide sterilization.

Shelf Life: Two years from date of manufacture of materialif properly stored
                                 at 72 deg. F (22 deg. C) and 50% relative humidity.

Processing

Refer to the technical processing guide and other publications suchas Tips on UV Ink Processing and
Splice Construction Recommendations.

Special Considerations

Misaligned labels from glass containers on-line should be removed with water at room temperature.

Silicone overspray/contamination of the substrate can cause poor adhesion.

Storage condition recommendation: To minimize the effects of humidity on the products, package the
die-cut and printed stock in polyethylene bags. Low density polyethylene (2-4 mils) can help to prevent
humidity penetration and stabilize the moisture content in the siliconized kraft liner.
