Why CTL?
1 The full UWL degree is offered at CTL
Students enrolling at CTL on a degree programme will become
UWL students from day 1. Why is this significant? Many private
colleges operate their own internal diploma programmes, then
“top-up” with a final one or two-terms from the partner
university. Students may not gain transfer credits for internal
college diplomas. At CTL all modules completed are UWL
modules and all term transcripts are issued by the university.

2 Degrees are fast-tracked
A full 3 year undergraduate degree can be completed in two
years. How? UK universities have a long summer break, at CTL
we fit in an extra term during that period, allowing the student
to complete three terms per year without compromising on
academic quality. Students also save one year of living costs
and can complete a UK Masters degree in that extra year
    gained.

Degree Foundation for BIT
Core computing skills are increasingly being outsourced abroad, so in a competitive business environment, both the BIT
and the Foundation are distinguished from traditional computer science degree programmes placing more emplasis on
developing project management, business analysis and core IT skills which prepare the graduate for further specialisation
at postgraduate level or employment.
The Degree Foundation is a full-time programme for students who would like to study the BIT programme but do not meet
the course entry requirements. Students without ‘A’ Levels or equivalent can join the one or two term degree foundation
programme. Students scoring a merit (60% pass) in term one can continue directly onto the BA(Hons) Business Information
Technology degree. Students scoring a pass must complete the full two term foundation programme.
The objective of the Foundation is to ensure that students have the necessary skills, knowledge and aptitude for the degree.
Emphasis is on encouraging students to become self-motivated and self-critical.
