              AJA01 - City Tour - half day This excursion explores the most interesting places in this lovely town
              founded by the Genoese in 1492. Ajaccio is the home of Napoleon Bonaparte, who was born on August 15th,

              ALE04 -The citadel, pyramids, and cruise on the Nile River - 12 hours w/lunch After a three hour
              drive, this excursion arrives in Cairo, the largest city in Africa. First stop is Saladin's Citadel and Mohamed
              Ali's Alabaster Mosque. From here there is a great view of Cairo. This excursion then continues to the shores
              of the Nile where participants will board a boat for a relaxing cruise and delicious lunch. This excursion also

              includes a bus transfer to the Pyramids plateau to admire the fabulous Pyramids of Giza, including the

              ALE05 - ALEXANDRIA AND ITS ROMAN HERITAGE ( about 5 hours )
              Leave the port to start a charming tour back to the past to find out some of the marvels of Alexandria. Our
              first stop will be the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, originally a private crypt and later extended with more
              Roman burials. These Roman tombs dates back to the II century A.D. ; you will have the possibility to visit
              the tombs and go down 80 feet below the ground to discover a eerie and intriguing place at the same time.
              Our next visit will be at Pompeii Pillar, a pillar 27 metres tall that, in spite of its name, was actually raised in
ALEXANDRIA
              honour of Emperor Diocletian in 300 A.D. who saved the city of Alexandria from a frightful famine. The

              excursion will continue with a sightseeing of Alexandria with panoramic views of its mains sites and the

              Start your tour to discover the beauties of Alexandria ; after leaving the port we will reach for the National
              Museum where you can admire many artifacts of past Greek and Roman civilizations. Our next stop will be a

              ALE07 - THE PYRAMIDS AND SAFARI ACROSS SAKKARA DESERT ( about 13 hours with lunch)
              Drive through the Desert Road to Cairo and after a 3 hour drive you will reach for the biggest African town :
              Cairo. Our excursion will start with a panoramic view of the three pyramids of Giza, the several funerary
              monuments and the Temple Valley with the Sphynx. Possibility to take amazing pictures and feel the
              atmosphere of grandeur and antiquity pervading the whole area. A short bus drive will transfer you to our
              next stop, the Country Club, where, onboard a jeep we will start an adventurous safari across the desert. We

              will then reach a camel convoy ; a unique possibility to experience a camel ride. Time to taste a delicious

                residence located on the top of a hill, declared a cultural world heritage by Unesco. The excursion also
ALMERIA (Spain) includes a visit to the Generalife Gardens, reminiscent of the Renaissance Italian villas ; time to admire its
                terraces and beautiful fountains and to take pictures. Lunch included. Board the bus again and reach Malaga

                 churches of the region. The excursion will continue with a walking along the streets of Ancona historical

                 Departure from the port to drive to the site of one of the best preserved amphitheatres of all times :
                 Aspendos. The amphitheatre was built in the 2nd century AD: and is still used today for live performances of
                 ballets, opera and classical concerts due to its fabulous acoustics and large seating capacity (15.000 guests).
                 Close to the theatre we will admire the remains of the marvelous acqueduct. Our excursion will then continue

                 to Perge, some 18 km east of Antalya ; Perge was the ancient capital city of the region called Pamphylia.

              A 45-minutes bus drive will takle you to one of the most picturesque caves in the world which came to light
              300 years ago after an earthquake that opened the present entrance. It will be possible for you to admire the
              numerous stalactites and stalagmites created more than 100 million years ago. A peculiar walk through the
ARGOSTOLI     accessible part of the cave will lead you to the wondrous spectacle Big Chamber , known as Apotheosis
(Greece)      Chamber due to its excellent acoustics. We will continue with a 45-minutes transfers to the wonderful beach
              of Myrtos, a wide, graceful arc of shimmering sand and pebbles protected by staggeringly steep cliffs. Free
              time to spend there to enjoy the sea.

ARRECIFE      Coach drive to Teguise, the ancient capital of the island and visit to Jameo del Agua, ancient complex of

              crabs entrapped in the caves as a result of an earthquake.

              Enjoy a visit to Timanfaya National Park characterised by a typical moonscape created by a volcanic

              though a volcanic activity still continues. Continue to Islote de Ilario to admire the geysers, typical of the

              Leave the port and start a pleasant day across the island to discover its landscapes. Coach drive to Teguise,

              an amphitheatre. The garden is located on the road to Mala in an area where during more than a century the

              cochineal beetle has been cultivated for the production of the valuable natural colorant. We will then reach

              Cesar Manrique Foundation, located next to what was Cesar Manrique s house, known as El Taro de
              Tahiche . Taro is an island world for a construction of stones placed upon each other without the use of

              its great cultural and artistic influence. Since 1920 the village has been a real paradise for movie stars like

                being destroyed by the Vandal and the Saracen invasions. Visit the remains of the famous Doric temple
                dating back to the V century B.C. With its 36 columns the temple is one of the most beautiful and complete
                examples of Doric architecture. From the bus we will walk along a sloping pathway to the temple. Standing
