DEADLINE for Application: April 1, 2011
The PNC Neighborhood Grant Program distributes funds to qualified neighborhood associations
and community based non-profit groups for the purpose of producing events. The object of the
program is to make it possible for residents to conduct street festivals, flea markets, health fairs,
back to school rallies, talent shows, neighborhood clean-ups, block parties, and more.
Eligibility
The PNC Neighborhood Grant Program is open to neighborhood organizations and community
groups representing neighborhoods in Baltimore City.

Up to $1,000
Application Guidelines
Restrictions
1. Groups may request funds for one event/project per year.
2. The event must be free and open to the public and take place in Baltimore City
3. The requesting organization must have at least ten members and a bank account in the
organization’s name.
4. Applicants must be designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. If this is not the
case, applicants can apply through a 501(c)(3) organization that is associated with the
project.
5. Based on response, grants may be limited to first-time applicants or one-time events only.
6. For groups or events funded in prior years, consideration will be given based on need,
previous success or other factors.
7. All decisions are final; there is no appeal process.
8. Applications are accepted in good faith. The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, Inc.
and the PNC Bank Neighborhood Grant Program shall be held harmless in the event of
changes in the leadership or structure of organizations receiving grants.

Events will be judged on the following criteria:
1. Clarity: Are the project/event objectives clearly described?
2. Project Design: Are budget, description of assignments and personnel adequate to
accomplish event objectives?
3. Readiness: Is the project ready to proceed and can objectives be accomplished in a
realistic and timely manner?
4. Value: Does the project benefit the community by engaging members? Can this event be
duplicated in the future without significant financial assistance?
5. Urgency: What is the down side of delaying this project/event?
6. Commitment: How does your event help make Baltimore a cleaner, greener, healthier
city?
Proposals that are incomplete or do not meet the above requirements will not be
considered by the review committee.
Notification
Grant recipient will be sent a letter via E-mail along with an agreement that must be carefully
read, signed and returned to the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, Inc. before the
Mandatory workshop.
Responsibilities of Grant Recipients
1. Attend the mandatory workshop at which time checks will be distributed.
2. Send proof of deposit of the check seven business days after receipt.
3. Send a brief account of expenses two weeks after the event.
4. Accept no competing sponsor i.e., other banks.
5. Credit all promotional material thusly: Special thank to PNC and the Baltimore Office of
Promotion & The Arts, Inc. for helping to make this event possible.
6. Send at least six Jpeg formatted photographs documenting your event to the E-mail
address below or mail them to the address below.
