The John Marshall Law School/PMBR Special Program Fall 2006 3rd/4th Year Students: The John Marshall Law School has arranged a special 6-day program to be held this fall for students taking the bar exam in February 2007. All JMLS students graduating in January 2007 may take the special PMBR 6-day “Early-Bird” Seminar (October 21 & 22, October 28 & 29, and November 4 & 5) and then again during winter bar session, tentatively December 26 – 31 (in Chicago or city location of student’s choice), for no additional charge. In addition, special program students are required to participate in a simulated Multistate Bar Exam on November 11 OR 12 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at JMLS. Location: The John Marshall Law School Room 503 Format: On three consecutive weekends, PMBR will be reviewing the six multistate subjects. Topic order and time schedule is as follows: 9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. Registration and book distribution (October 21 only) 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Diagnostic Testing 12 – 1 p.m. Lunch 1 – 4 p.m. Lecture October 21: TORTS with Leslye C. Swigert October 22: CRIMINAL LAW with Leslye C. Swigert October 28: CONTRACTS with Robert Feinberg October 29: PROPERTY with Robert Feinberg November 4: EVIDENCE with Steve Palmer November 5: CONSTITUTIONAL LAW with Steve Palmer Cost: 6-day for JMLS students, $395* 3-day for JMLS students also taking 6-day, $195 *Students may repeat 6-day program offered in December. JMLS Special Price is contingent upon attendance during the three-weekend program AND taking the Multi-State Diagnostic Exam on either November 11 or November 12. Those students not attending a sufficient number of classes will be required to pay full price for 6-Day class. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Materials*: PMBR 6-day “Early Bird” Workbook (contains 50 questions for each Multistate subject) PMBR Workbooks (Volumes 1 & 2) PMBR Multistate Performance Test Workbook PMBR Flashcards * All materials will be mailed to your home EXCEPT the 6-day Early-Bird Workbook which you will get the first day of class on Saturday, October 21. If you have a Saturday class conflict, please contact Leslye Swigert. You may pick-up your 6-day “Early-Bird” Workbook early (on October 18 at PMBR’s next table at JMLS) before the special program begins in order to be prepared for lecture on Saturday, October 21 (see more under “What if I have a Saturday morning class?”). Participation Requirements: Any January 2007 graduates may attend the special program in October/November 2006 and repeat it again during December 2006. Attendance is MANDATORY during the three weekends and will be monitored. For those students who have an excused absence* from the class, a dvd session of the class missed will be available from Corinne Morrissey for check-out. The dvd sessions are available ONLY for in-school viewing and for those students who are participating in the JMLS/PMBR Special Program. YOU MUST WATCH THE MAKE-UP DVD’S OF MISSED SESSIONS. THIS WILL BE MONITORED. Failure to do so will forfeit your JMLS/PMBR Special prices. Students not attending a sufficient number* of the weekend classes will be required to pay the full price for the class. The regular price for 6-day program is $695 for ABA members and $795 for non- ABA members. Written excused absences should be given or emailed to Professor Corinne Morrissey at email@example.com. *Excused absences and a sufficient number of classes are to be determined by Professor Corinne Morrissey. In addition, all special program students must participate in a simulated Multistate Bar Exam on November 11th OR 12th from 9-4. Additional Benefits: Students who attend the JMLS/PMBR Special Program will be allowed to enroll in any PMBR 3-day “Intensive” Seminar for an additional $195. The 3-day “Intensive” Seminar is offered in late January/early February and is scheduled as to not conflict with your general bar review. This price is only valid if students take both the 6-day and 3-day seminars together. Students who enroll in the 3-day seminar PRIOR to November, 17th, 2006, will be entitled to choose three audiotapes or CD’s that will be mailed to them. Total price for BOTH the 6-day and 3-day seminars and THREE tapes or cds is $590. ALSO, for an additional $50, students who enroll in BOTH the 6-day and 3-day seminars will be entitled to get ALL SIX Multistate tapes or cd’s. Total price with ALL SIX tapes or cd’s is $640. ONLY STUDENTS ENROLLING IN BOTH SEMINARS ARE ENTITLED TO THE SIX TAPE OR C.D. OPTION! That means JMLS graduating students can take the 6-day seminar TWICE and the 3-day seminar during the winter session for a total of $590 or $640 (with ALL six tapes or cd’s). The regular price for the combination of 6-day and 3-day seminars is $890 for ABA members and $990 for non-ABA members. What if I have a Saturday morning class? If you have a Saturday morning class from 9 am-12:30 pm, you can still enroll for the JMLS/PMBR Special. After you get your 6-Day Early Bird Workbook, as long as you complete your diagnostic exam prior to coming to lecture from 1pm-4pm, you will be prepared. PMBR only takes attendance in the afternoon sessions from 1pm-4pm after the first session on October 21st. This will be explained further during the first session on October 21st. Previous deposits: Any previous deposit(s) can be deducted from the price of $395 for the 6-day option only or from the price of $590 for the 6-day and the 3-day together (or $640 with ALL six tapes or cd’s.)
