Western Washington University – Distance Learning Certificate in Emergency Management Western Washington University's Extended Education and Summer Programs offers credit courses leading to a Certificate in Emergency Management. This program began the fall quarter 2001. The certificate is delivered entirely over the Internet with no face-to-face meetings required. The required pre-requisite courses are offered twice each year; electives are offered once a year. Three to fours classes are available every quarter.
