Frederick Community College – Certificate in Emergency Management Frederick Community College is offering a Certificate in Emergency Management that focuses on preparedness and the skills need to organize and lead emergency management organizations. Individuals with degrees in another discipline or Emergency Management professionals who wish to document experience in the field will find this program valuable. The Certificate requires a 3 hour course in Communications and 23 credits of Core Emergency Management courses from the Emergency Management Institute, Independent Study Program. All the credits from this certificate may be used in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Management. Disaster Management Letter of Recognition – Designed to provide students with knowledge need to work as a leader during recovery operations following a disaster. Includes training on the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the Incident Command System (ICS).
