Capella University – Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Emergency Management Specialization The Emergency Management specialization focuses on providing undergraduate learners with the knowledge and skills needed for effective emergency and disaster management. Specialization topics include emergency preparedness and planning, disaster response and recovery, hazard mitigation, and public safety. Upon successful completion of this specialization, learners are prepared to pursue careers in emergency management, emergency services coordination, response and recovery team management, hazard mitigation, emergency preparedness, and risk assessment. The Bachelor of Science in Public Safety with Emergency Management Specialization is offered entirely online. To complete your bachelor's degree, you will need 45 quarter credits in general education subject areas with a minimum of 6 quarter credits from each category. We offer general education courses in communication, humanities, natural science and mathematics, and social science. Residents of Arkansas must complete Arkansas general education requirements. All credits listed below are quarter credits.
