It should be noted that the final results were received after the end of the academic
year, then were under review/analysis for the June 15 reporting deadline. This
gave us no real opportunity for faculty input, which is where these
recommendations should originate. Thus this aspect is somewhat limited in nature
                                       and effectiveness.

Because the ATD assessment effort has been entirely redone,
there are no relevant recommendations to track or respond
to.We basically are beginning anew Prior methods of
assessment yielded almost no useful data, so a great deal of
effort went into the total redesign of our assessment efforts. It is
believed that the new outcomes and measures will provide
realistic and empirically measurable indices as to programmatic
effectiveness. Aviation Administration is crucially important due
to the shortage of properly trained/education managers in
aviation organizations. We abandoned the surveys, both
because return was so limited and because they mostly measure
satisfaction rather than empirical outcomes. Any non-accademic
factors (such as class participation or attendance) were carefully
eliminated from our measures in order to better determine
program effectiveness. The new assessment effort reflects a
great many hours of concentrated effort n the part of the
Assessment Coordinator and the ATD Director, along with
faculty input during the academic year.
