Home Account is a VB application that was developed to maintain the household expenses of
a small family. It uses an Access Database to store the expenses of different family members
and provides specific report and chart of the expenses of all or selected family members for a
particular time period.
Date Converter is a very simple VB application that converts a given English date to its
corresponding Bengali date and vise versa. It was awarded First prize in the district level
Science & Technology Exhibition of Gazipur district, Bangladesh in 1998. The main engine of
the software is a custom VB Class that can convert the dates between Bengali and English
following the rules provided by Bangla Academy.
MLM Talking Dictionary is another simple VB application that was awarded Second Prize in
the district level Science & Technology Exhibition of Gazipur district in 1998. It is a combination
of four dictionaries, i.e. Bengali-to-Bengali, Bengali-to-English, English-to-English and English-
to-Bengali. The dictionary is able to generate the pronunciation of a particular word and displays
a picture corresponding to that word. It uses an Access database as its back end.
PABX Billing Software was developed for a PABX Centre of Tongi, Bangladesh, using Visual
Basic 6.0 and Access Database. It works on the Manual Data Input. The processed data is kept
in the database and generates Bills based on the requirements.
