Welcome to the Family Support Center’s 18th Annual “Reach for the Stars” Gala
Benefit Auction at the beautiful Great Wolf Lodge! Thank you for joining us on this
very special evening as we gather to raise funds to benefit the many wonderful nonprofit
agencies and programs of the Family Support Center. This long time community tradi-
tion has grown into one of South Sound’s premier fundraising events and we are honored
to have you be a part of our effort tonight. With your amazing support and generosity,
we can make a difference in the lives of families and children struggling in our commu-
nity by ensuring that they receive the essential services they need and the high quality
care they deserve.

Reach for the Stars auction sponsors and contributors make this evening possible. These
faithful people share their wealth and goods to ensure that our community will be a better
place to live. Thank you!

No fundraising event can succeed without the many hours of work put in by the volun-
teers. This year our volunteers put in hundreds of hours to make this evening possible.
These truly dedicated people give 110% percent to help make our community stronger
and safer. Thank you!

Whether you are here for the first time or have been a long time supporter of the Family
Support Center, we thank you for attending and hope you enjoy this evening’s festivities.
The Family Support Center needs your support now more than ever, so please bid often,
raise your paddles high, and help us “Reach for the Stars!”

Have fun and let the bidding begin!

L-20 FUND-A-NEED

In a typical week, the Family Support Center and it’s partner agencies get more
than 1,150 visits from members of our community in need.
Often, they come because of a crisis of one sort or another—they need shelter, a job,
legal advice, or child care so they can work—or all of the above. At other times, they
enter the building tired at the end of a long work day. They come to take parenting or
early childhood education classes or to pick up a child from child care. In addition,
more than 100 staff members and scores of volunteers are in the building each week,
working to provide services to those in need.

We envision a community where families are valued and nurtured and have the
resources to be strong, healthy, and self-sufficient.
That's what the Family Support Center is all about. You can help us realize this vision
by raising your paddle tonight.

At our “Reach For The Stars” auction last year, guests generously donated thou-
sands of dollars for Family Support Center and partner agencies’ operations.
Thank you for making that possible. We believe that because of the ever increasing
needs in our community, that nothing is more important than continuing to deliver vital
services and programs that sustain healthy children and families. You can help our
partner agencies do just that!

During these tough economic times, many families can’t afford to pay for the
services they need to be successful. These families are counting on us to provide
the services and resources needed for their children to be safe, healthy, and happy.
This year, all proceeds raised in this portion of the evening will go directly to
helping families and children in need.

Tonight you can become our shining star by funding these much
needed programs at the greatest level possible. Let us share with
you the types of services and programs your contributions will support. .
