YP-P2 Firmware Upgrade Instructions
Note: Before upgrading the firmware on your YP-P2, make sure the battery has sufficient power so that it will not power off during the upgrade. This may potentially cause damage to the device. 1. Go to http://www.samsung.com and click support > download center 2. Enter your model number in the “search by model number” field and click [search]. 3. Click the [firmware tab] below the image of the YP-P2. tab 4. Click the zip file for the latest firmware version available and save the zip file to your Desktop. Desktop 5. Right Click the Windows [Start] Button and select [Explore]. Windows Start Explore Explorer opens up
6. Uncompress the downloaded file onto your Desktop.

The uncompressed files will be displayed. (YPP2.rom and YPP2.RSC)

7. Locate the two files on your desktop and copy and paste them into one of the following locations depending on the version of Windows Media Player you’re using. WMP10: P2 > Data WMP11: P2 > Internal Storage
8. Disconnect the YP-P2 from your computer. 9. Turn the power on. The firmware begins to install. “Updating Firmware” appears on the screen and 1/5 items will begin installing.[2][2] After screen 2/5, the P2 will shut down. 10.Turn the power back on. The firmware continues to update. When 5/5 has completed, the device will shut down again. 11.Turn the device
