                          Great News in Bullitt County Public Schools!



B
          ullitt Lick Middle School students featured on the Dec. 22 Rachael Ray Show. A film crew from the
          popular chef’s show visited Bullitt County Dec. 6-7 filming inside Bullitt Lick, at several student
          homes and at Zappos Fulfillment Center. Rachael Ray appeared in a video informing each student
received a $150 Zappos gift card. Truly a memorable and special holiday moment!




C
          had Buckman named 2011 Kentucky Assistant Principal of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Secondary
          School Principals. Mr. Buckman has been the assistant principal at Zoneton Middle School for three years.




N
           ational Board Certification earned by seven Bullitt County Public School teachers. Overdale Elementary
           School has three, Alicia Doyle, Megan Rutledge and Mary Raidt. Crossroads Elementary School has two,
           Carla Wilson and Rikki Van Pelt. Pleasant Grove Elementary School has one, Kylie Hornback. Bullitt Lick
Middle School also has one, Tonie Weddle. This brings the district number to 62. Congratulations on a job well done!

           ayla Gaddis of North Bullitt High School earned second place in her age group for her 2010 Adopt a Highway
           poster contest entry sponsored by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Kayla was the only winner from a
           Bullitt County Public School.

          hristy Hardin and Linda Nason collaborated on a successful Metro United Way grant for Blessings in a
          Backpack. Students from Cedar Grove, Lebanon Junction, Maryville and Overdale Elementary Schools. The
          grant allows purchases of nutritious food that fill backpacks students take home on Friday and return on
Monday.

        tudent Data Achievement from each school now appears in elegant frames adorning the walls of the central
        office. Each frame contains state and national test results along with a picture of the respective school. All frames
        were made by hand by Ronnie Adams of Adams Gallery.
