					SKID STEER LOADER TRAINING
TARGET AUDIENCE

Anyone wishing to enter the industry who require operator training.

COURSE AIM

To train novice operators in the skills required to enter the industry as a certified skid steer loader
operator.

COURSE CONTENT

The course covers classroom and practical training and included the following:
      •    Work planning and pre-operational checks
      •    Operation of a skid steer loader
      •    Shifting loads
      •    Select, remove and fit attachments
      •    Relocating the skid steer loader
      •    Machine maintenance and clean-ups
      •    Adopting safe work practices

ASSESSMENT

This is an assessable course. You will be required to undertake a written and practical assessment.

CERTIFICATION

Those successfully completing this course will receive a Statement of Attainment and Heavy Equipment
Accreditation wallet card for the nationally accredited unit RIIMPO318A Conduct Skid Steer Loader
Operations.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

PRE-REQUISITES

   • Minimum 18 years of age and have current driving experience
   • Have the necessary levels of health and fitness to operate equipment safely
   • Able to communicate and understand instructions for safety requirements

REFUNDS POLICY

Participants are eligible for a full refund in the following circumstances;
•      Notice of withdrawal is given 5 days prior to the commencement of the course.
•      The maximum number of students for the class is exceeded.
•      The course was cancelled due to lack of numbers.
Notification of cancellation less than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the course will incur
a 25% fee.

In the event of an overcharge of fees,
refunds will automatically be processed.
Please notify the Skills Development
Centre if an overcharge has occurred.

The Manager Business Development may
approve a pro rata refund of charges
based on the number of attendances if;
•    A participant     has evidence for
     satisfactory grounds for withdrawing
     (eg illness, transfer or other
     circumstances outside of his/her
     control).
•    The class is cancelled.
