What did you like about the hiring process?

I liked that everyone I came in contact with, was very friendly and professional.

Interviewing in a relaxed setting

All employees were very helpful and informative

It was quick it didn't take a very long time.

No stress

A decision was made quickly.

The two interviewers were quite informative and made me aware of what it was
that i would be hired for they were very honest and helpful.

Everyone was very clear on expectations of job.

The professionalism of the entire process

Everyone was professional and showed an interest in my desire to become a part
of the Xavier staff.

It was good.

Quick

Very pleasant and not stressful

It was fairly simple

Paper work was processed immediately.

It was a very smooth process.

Do you have any suggestions to improve the hiring
process?

Human Resource Office should have more information regarding the hire of a
Non-resident Alien. Also they should explain in details the benefit process and
assist the new hire according to their needs to complete benefit enrolment, tax
forms, and direct deposits.

No everything was in order.

Everything was very slow. I never had an official orientation. I've learned most of
things about Xavier from co-workers and from conversations with staff. They all
were very helpful though

The time limit! I believe that the hiring process, though under a month, was still a
little slow! If a person seeking employment has another job then that job still
requires a two week notice and one can not give that two week notice if the hiring
process

I did not know that my insurance would not be active right away and so my cobra
coverage expired and I was uninsured for a time.

Keep up the good work.

It was slow

More information stated about the expectations of your job so that the employee
can be better prepared for evaluations.

For someone in the department, to take the time out of their schedule, to train and
explain the proper procedures of how the job is done.

My professional level allows me to train myself

Perhaps a procedural manual could be organized as a ready reference, in case
someone has a question.

To train the employee about Xavier’s procedures such as Banner, and accounts
payable etc.

Provide all materials for university procedures such as payment to vendors and ie,
posting of university signs.

Produce a guidebook or desktop procedure and turnover file.

The VPAA part was good, but the HR part was confusing.
