In the film, "The Front," Woody Allen's character, Howard Prince, says, "In my family, the biggest sin was to pay retail." Suffice it to say, the Prince family would have been great outlet shoppers.According to Keri Branch, assistant manager at Philadelphia Premium Outlets, the trend in outlet shopping "has moved away from housewares like Wamsutta and Waterford and more toward fashion." She explains that most of the products are "made for outlets, last season's merchandise, overbuy/ overstock or late shipments." Moreover, she insists, "There are very few irregulars," debunking the myth that outlets are simply warehouses for selling damaged goods.Tanger Midway is the first mall on the way to the beach, a little less than two miles from Tanger Seaside and Tanger Bayside. Midway may look like a bland strip mall, but it features ample parking and several high-end retailers, including Coach, Talbots, Polo Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. While some of the outlet stores here are smaller than at other locations (e.g., the Rehoboth Puma store has five aisles of sneakers, compared to twice that number at Oaks), products available at several shops were also at the regular retail stores ? sometimes at a discount, sometimes not.
