Monthly Infectious Disease Report Fujian Province - January 2011

It is very interesting to glimpse the reports from Center for Disease Control and Prevention of
Fujian Province, for us to get outlook and idea what’s going on around us. According to the
report, there were 4,824 cases recorded last January 2011 with no deaths.

         The top five infectious diseases at Fujian Province were:

         1.   Diarrhea
         2.   Hand, Foot and mouth Disease
         3.   Mumps
         4.   Flu
         5.   Rubella

Please take note that four out of five of this infectious diseases could have been prevented
through proper vaccination. In relation to this, Mainland China excluding Taiwan, Hong Kong and
Macau, the top five infectious diseases for the year 2010 were the following:

         1.   Viral Hepatitis
         2.   Tuberculosis
         3.   Syphilis
         4.   Bacterial dysentery
         5.   Gonorrhea
