   Decorate the tree so it can be viewed from
    all sides
         Special Notes

 Let the Tree Design Committee know if you have
  any large items in your display, so the tree can be
  placed in an appropriate location.
 EVERYTHING must fit through a standard size door.
 PLEASE DO NOT FLOCK THE TREE!
 If you have any concerns about meeting these
  requirements, please contact a member of the Tree
  Design Committee immediately.

 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
 Riverside Convention
 Trees must be at the Convention
  Center by 4PM on11/22/10
Set - Up

      After unloading your tree,
       please move your car
      Please do not park your car
       in a handicapped space
       …you will get a ticket!
                Tree Assembly
 ASSEMBLE THE TOP OF
  YOUR TREE AT THE
  CONVENTION CENTER
 Do not glue tree topper
 Consider size, weight and
  # of decorations
 Ornaments should weigh
  less than a half pound a
  piece
                 Tree Topper
  Please do not glue or wire the
  top section to the bottom section
  of your tree
 The topper will be placed in a
  box for safe delivery
 All toppers will be marked by the
  Tree Design Committee staff
  for assembly when delivered.
Lights
     All trees are PRELIT- if you add
      lights we recommend the
      following:
     Follow the contour of the
      branches – Do not drape lights
     Lights should be the type that
      when one goes out the rest stay
      lit!
     Do not splice lights – Fire Hazard
     Use a multi outlet power strip–
      one that is fused
Lights


   Twinkling lights are ok, no
    blinking lights
   7 ½’ tree – 800-1200
   Wire any additional lights
    added to the tree
   Extension cords – extend 6’
    beyond tree base
                 Extension Cords

   Should be no longer
    than 6 ‘ so it stays
    inside the fenced area

   Extension cord should
    be 16 gauge
                 Decorations
 Secure all decorations to
  the tree with florist wire.
  NO EXCEPTIONS
 Glue & wire tree sections –
  except for top
 Glue ornaments with
  hanging attachments
 Balance motorized
  ornaments throughout your
  tree
 Do not flock your tree, it is a
  fire hazard
TIME

        Plan your time
        Sit back and take a
         critical look at your
         tree
        Have the time to make
         the changes you would
         like to make
Tree Base

    Please furnish covering for
     the base of your tree
    Each tree is delivered with a
     minimum of a tree skirt
    Decorate the fenced floor
     area
    Tree box 16” tall, 36” square
    Please cover this box
    8’X 8’ fenced area
                REMINDERS
 Please let us know if
  you have items under
  your tree you would like
  back
 Designer allowance is
  only to help defray costs
 # of decorations for
  7 ½’ is 175 – 275
Remember – no flocking!
Designs

        We encourage you to
         be creative
        Over decorate with
         light weight
         ornaments
        Under decorate with
         heavy or motorized
         ornaments
FILLERS

       Visit stores that sell
        decorations such as
        Michael’s, Target,
        Kmart, WalMart,
        Costco or any craft
        store
       Utilize ribbons, dried
        flowers, garlands, ting
        ting
                  EQUIPMENT

   Bring the following to the Convention Center:
   Stepladder
   Glue gun / staple gun
   Wire & wire cutters
   Scissors
   Extra lights & ornaments
   Extension cord
   Shims level your tree on the box
   Duct tape
                Moving Trees
   Trees can break
    during the move to the
    purchasers
   Remember your tree
    will be moved several
    times
   Please limit use of
    ceramic ornaments

 Mistletoe Magic will be held on
  Tuesday evening, November
  23rd.
 You must RSVP to receive your
  one complimentary admission.
  If not, your complimentary seat
  will be sold.
 Please be aware that seating
  is limited. If you wish to
  attend, YOU MUST MAKE
  YOUR RESERVATION BY THE
  RSVP DEADLINE – 11/5/10.
 Additional seats cost $125 and
  are available through the
  Foundation office at 486-4213.
