I Street Residents
Combine Efforts
to Beautify Island
You may have noticed that the ride down the 4200
block of I Street has become a little more pleasant in
the past couple of weeks.

That’s because residents of the block, under the
direction of Block Captain Ralph Torres, have planted,
cleaned up, and fixed the “no parking” posts on the
center traffic island. It looks fantastic!

Ralph’s assistant, Uriel, was said to have done much
of the hard work. The residents came together on
Saturday, July 11th to take ownership of their block,
and to make it a great part of Juniata to live.

Some people have used the islands of I Street to
park cars in the past. This effort will dissuade drivers
from doing so.
