Terry is an early 50’s male who was unhappy with the appearance of his front teeth. Braces for straightening and gum grafts to cover his gum recession were discussed and declined. Instead, Terry whitened his teeth and then veneers were done. Photo’s 1& 2 are before and after Terry whitened his teeth to a brighter, natural white. Photo 3 shows the temporary veneers that were placed after preparing Terry’s natural teeth for veneers. These are worn for about 3 weeks, until the final restorations are ready. In addition to protecting the prepped teeth, the temporaries give the patient a good idea of how their veneers will look. Photo 4 shows Terry with his permanent veneer restorations. While orthodontics and gum grafts are a great option, many patients do not want to go through these procedures, as they can take up to 3 years to complete. For Terry, veneers were the way to go, and he’s very pleased with his new smile!
