                                      KIDNEY BEAN EXTRACT
White Kidney Bean Extract has been studied for years and has been found to be the best “starch-blocker”.
The kidney bean extract specifically, but temporarily, blocks the digestive enzyme alpha Amylase which
breaks down starch into simple sugar.

White kidney bean extract is a starch neutralizer water-extract of a common white kidney bean. It
neutralizes the enzyme by not absorbing as many carbohydrates into the body as they pass through the
digestive system.

Phaseolamin which is derived from the white kidney bean is an amazing non-stimulant, all-natural
nutritional ingredient. It is the first nutritional ingredient clinically and scientifically proven to neutralize
starch in foods such as potatoes, bread, pasts, rice, and corn. It inhibits Alpha-amylase, an enzyme that is
needed by starch to become glucose.

In the course of the digestive process carbohydrates, found in starchy foods such as potatoes and pasta,
are converted to sugar. The body does this by breaking-down the carbohydrate molecule with alpha
amylase, an enzyme produced in the pancreas. The sugar calories are either burned off or stored as fat
cells. Sorry to say, inactivity means that the stored fat cells accumulate resulting in weight gain.
Phaseolamin "neutralizes" the digestive enzyme alpha amylase before it can convert starch into glucose
and then fat thus promoting weight loss.

Weight loss leads to a decreased risk of:
    Degenerative arthritis,
    Obstructive mellitus,
    Coronary artery disease
    Obesity.

Chitosan is a modified carbohydrate polymer derived from the chitin component of the exoskeleton of
crustaceans such as shrimp, crab and cuttlefish. Do not use Chitosan if you are allergic to shellfish.

Specifically it is an undigested fiber similar to that found in cellulose of vegetables and the outer shell of
whole grains. The difference is that Chitosan fiber carries a positive ionic charge. This unique property
gives it the ability to attract fats. Lipids, fats, and bile acids all have negative charges. There is a chemical
bond between the two thus naturally attracting to one another. Consuming Chitosan during a meal will
minimize the calories that can be absorbed by the digestive tract. The fat attaches to the Chitosan and is
eliminated by the digestive system. Some studies have shown that Chitosan can attract and hold 6 times
its weight in fat for safe elimination. Some refer to Chitosan as a “fat magnet.”

Chitosan has been shown to:
     naturally improve cardiovascular health,
     naturally lower LDL (bad) cholesterol while raising the HDL (good) cholesterol,
     naturally maintain healthy blood pressure. In order to maintain normal, healthy blood pressure
       Angiotension is vital. Chitosan decreases levels of chloride, influencing the Angiotension
       converting enzymes.
     decrease the rate of increased blood glucose, as well as dissolve fatty plaque from the veins,
       arteries, and vascular tissue,
     naturally stop fats from absorbing into the blood stream,
     be a natural way to maintain triglyceride levels,
     have a variety of gastrointestinal benefits,
     reduce the absorption of bile acids and cholesterol, whereby lowering levels of blood cholesterol,
     may even help to prevent atherosclerosis and could play a role in wound healing, some types of
        diabetes, and liver disease.
       help reduce weight,
     may help prevent cancer, heal ulcers, aid digestion, and help the immune system.

                                      GYMNEMA SYLVESTRE
Gymnema sylvestre is a woody, vine-like plant in parts of India and Asia used as a natural treatment for
diabetes. The active ingredient, gymnemic acid, is extracted from the leaves and roots to help lower and
balance blood sugar levels. It came to be known as “destroyer of sugar”.

Research indicates this amazing herb has positive benefits on blood sugar control. It helps with sugar
cravings and to regenerate the pancreas. In tests on diabetic rats, the pancreas doubled in size and grew
new insulin-producing cells. Gymnema sylvestre blocks the transformation of excess glycogen into fat by
binding with the enzyme Acetyl Coenzyme A necessary for this reaction. Gymnema sylvestre helps stop
the conversion of glycogen, tones the blood and strengthens the body.

Gymnema sylvestre in healthy adults is believed to help curb cravings for sweets. It is not a magic bullet.
However, when it is taken with a high-carbohydrate meal or a meal high in sugar, it can aid the body by
passing through sugars and making carbs available for burning, rather than turning them into fat stores. In
this way it helps to build lean muscle mass.

Gymnema Sylvestre Benefits:
   supporters claim the herb also lowers triglycerides and “bad cholesterol,”
   reduces body weight and weight gain,
   effective in controlling diabetes
   the ability to eliminate the desire and craving for sweets, sugar and candies,
   lowers cholesterol and help the body develop a good balance between body fat and lean muscle
   migraine: useful particularly when migraine is caused by sugar metabolism trouble,
   seizure disorders: if caused by blood glucose levels trouble,
   thought to boost metabolism and energy levels,
   also been used as a remedy for allergies, urinary tract inflections, anemia, hyperactivity, and

The U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) find “good
scientific evidence” that gymnema sylvestre can be helpful in controlling blood sugar levels in people
with type 1 and type 2 diabetes when used in conjunction with insulin and other medications as prescribed
by a doctor. It is important that people with existing blood sugar issues talk to their doctors before adding
gymnema sylvestre to their diet, as insulin or other medications may need to be reduced.

                                        APPLE TREE (BARK)
Apple Tree bark can be useful for a variety of complaints, including:

    digestive disorders,
    prostate disorders

                                             Burdock Root
Burdock is a root found in Europe and Asia. It has many medicinal qualities. Early Chinese physicians
used Burdock as a remedy for colds, flu, throat infections, and pneumonia. Burdock has traditionally been
used as a remedy for measles, arthritis, tonsillitis, viruses like colds, throat pain, and as a diuretic. In
modern times, burdock root has been employed in the treatment of certain cancers.

From 1930 to 1950 Burdock was used as an ingredient in alternative cancer treatment. German
researchers discovered that fresh Burdock root contains polyacetylenes which are known to be effective
antibacterials and antifungals. It reduces mucus and it prevents the formation of gall and kidney stones.
Since it contains vitamin A and selenium, it can eliminate free radicals.

Natural healers revere this herb as nature‟s best “blood purifier”. They believe it rids the body of
dangerous toxins. Today many herbalists will recommend it for its diuretic action. It increases the flow of
urine and promotes sweating. It also believed to be helpful for soreness and swelling caused by arthritis,
rheumatism, sciatica, and lumbago. Burdock is also soothing for hemorrhoids.

The active ingredients of Burdock are arcigen, calcium, chlorogenic acid, essential oil, flavonoids, iron,
inulin, lactone, mucilage, polyacetylenes, potassium, resin, tannin, and taraxosterol.

    enhances performance of many of the organs (like kidneys, liver, colon)
    superior blood purifier and cleanser,
    has many nutrients like iron inulin, and beneficial oils,
    a powerful diuretic,
    used to treat both bacterial and fungal infections, including ringworm, urinary tract infections,
       and acne.
    works as a decongestant,
    potential as a treatment for cancer,
    may help treat diabetes by reducing blood sugar,
    relieves gout symptoms,
    gallbladder disorders,
    restore liver,
    stimulates immune system,
     great for helping with weight loss.

Today‟s herbalists recommend burdock to help eliminate toxins from all parts of the body, including the
blood, liver, lymphatic system, kidneys and gallbladder.

                                          CHICORY (ROOT)
Chicory Root is the root of a perennial plant. It can be found throughout all parts of North America and
Europe. It dates back about 5000 years. The Romans believed it kept the blood pure. Most of us are
familiar with the dried root sometimes being used as a coffee substitute or coffee additive.

There are two (2) major chemical compounds found in chicory root. The two (2) chemical compounds
include 11 – 15 percent of sugars (levulose, pentose and dextrose) and taraxarcine. It is the inulin, key
polysaccharide chemical in chicory, which gives it its characteristic aroma. Chicory is used medicinally
as a tonic, diuretic and/or laxative.

Health benefits include:
    enhances functions of digestive system (digestion of foods and liquids),
    promotes bile production and thus stimulates the gallbladder function (gallstone dissolver),
    restore or achieve optimal liver and gallbladder health,
    effective blood purifier,
    hepatoprotective actions beneficial for liver disease and other related disorders,
    diuretic properties,
             o provide protection for urinary system and kidneys
             o increased urine flow – stimulates cleansing of body and enhances removal of toxins
    contains Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant,
    natural sedative and anti-inflammatory for nervous system,
    helps body resist gallstones and liver stones,
    aids in decreasing levels of LDL cholesterol,
    indigestion relief and relief from diarrhea and gastritis,
    help optimize blood composition,
    helps promote optimal blood sugar levels,
    increases stool bulk and consistency,
    believed to help with calcium absorption,
    excellent source of fructooligosaccharides which help promote the growth of beneficial bacteria
        in the digestive tract,
    benefits weight loss. Proper digestive functioning is crucial for weight loss and chicory root is
        essential for proper digestion. Its ability to help break down fats is also important in weight loss.

Medical research conducted in Egypt showed that chicory consumption affects the heartbeat rate by
slowing it. This resulted in an assumption that the root can also be helpful for people with tachycardia;
however more research needs to be done on this property.

There are no side effects noted with chicory root, it can be suggested for consumptions with no
limitations. None the less certain individuals may experience allergies to some of the plant's components.

                                         RED SAGE (ROOT)
Red Sage is widely used in traditional Chinese Medicine, often in conjunction with other herbs. Red Sage
is used traditionally to treat a diversity of ailments, in particular cardiac and vascular disorders such as
atherosclerosis or blood clotting abnormalities. Herbal expert Varro Tyler, Ph.D. wrote, “If once consults
enough herbals, every sickness known to humanity will be listed as being cured by sage.” The answer is a
qualified yes. While sage is no cure-all it does have a much to offer.

Researchers around the world are continually discovering how plant extracts counteract disease and
chronic health conditions. In the mid-1980s, the interest of scientists was raised in its possible
cardiovascular benefits, in particularly patients with ischemic stroke or coronary artery disease/angina.
More recent studies have focused on its possible roles in liver disease (hepatitis and cirrhosis), as well as
an antioxidant.
Red Sage Root benefits:
    dilates blood vessels thereby increasing the flow of blood, oxygen, and nutrients to vital organs;
    invigorates the blood;
    reduces cholesterol levels;
    dissolves blood clots;
    keeps blood vessels soft and supple;
    reduces symptoms of estrogen deficiency, such as hot flashes;

                                           PARSLEY (LEAF)
Parsley uses are rather multiple with many culinary and medicinal benefits. There are two forms of
parsley used as herbs: curly leaf and flat leaf (Italian parsley). Many think the flat leaf variety has a
stronger flavor. The opinion is backed by chemical analysis which finds much higher levels of essential
oil in the flat-leafed variety. One of the compounds of the essential oil is Apiol. Medicinal grade material
is usually obtained from the plain-leafed variety of parsley rather than the curly-leafed variety. Parsley
has been used medicinally for over 2650 years .

Parsley is a natural source of carotene (provitamin A), vitamins B1, B2 and C, iron and minerals, also rich
in potassium. Parsley has 3 times more vitamin C than oranges. Altogether, there are over 300 chemical
compounds that have over 742 effects on the body when consuming Parsley in whatever manner or
     Cancer Preventative effects are supported with 43 compounds known to have a preventative
        action toward initial cancer development.

                                           PUMPKIN (SEED)
Cucurbita peop is a summer squash. Summer squashes mature rapidly and can be harvested in as little as
50 days, while winter squashes can take over 120 days to fully ripen.

Pumpkin seeds are one of nature's almost perfect foods. Pumpkin seeds are a natural source of beneficial
elements such as carbohydrates, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids. They are a very good source of
beta carotene, Omega 3, minerals magnesium and manganese, zinc and copper as well as the minerals
calcium, potassium, niacin, and phosphorous. Pumpkin seeds also contain most of the B vitamins, along
with C, D, E, and K.

Native American tribes were among the first people to notice the beneficial aspects of pumpkin seeds.
The seeds were referred to as cucurbita and used them to treat kidney problems and to eliminate parasites
from the intestines.

Scientists, who were prompted by the fact that pumpkin seeds turned up so frequently in folk medicines,
began to conduct research on the oil extracted from them. One particular study showed pumpkin seed oil
kept hormones from inflicting damage on cells of the prostate, which helps to reduce cancer development.
Another study revealed that the seeds contain a significant amount of L-tryptophan - beneficial in battling
depression (although it is believed the seeds don‟t have enough to treat major depression, they can be
used as a preventive measure). Other studies have shown pumpkin seeds can improve bladder and urethra
function. Plus they are thought to help stop the formation of kidney stones, although the ingredient
responsible is unknown. Also, pumpkin seeds have been used to treat learning disorders and are generally
recommended in some countries as a „brain food.‟ Other studies have shown pumpkin seeds prevent
hardening of the arteries and help regulate cholesterol levels.
Pumpkin seed benefits:
    prostate protection;
    improved bladder function;
    prevent kidney stones;
    minor depression;
    prevent osteoporosis because of its calcium content;
    natural anti-inflammatory;
    natural treatment for tapeworms and other parasites;
    great source of magnesium;
    shown to reduce levels of LDL cholesterol;
    protect against many cancers;
    beneficial for teeth, gums, nerves, hair and nails;
    relieve constipation;
    good for diabetics.

                                           SQUASH (SEED)
Cucurbita maxima are any of several winter squash pants. Winter squash are good for more than
decoration. They are a great source of vitamin A and C as well as potassium, plus they have several
health-enhancing benefits. The seeds, which usually get tossed aside, are nutritional wonders. Winter
squash seeds are a great source of vitamin K, riboflavin and folate, as well as magnesium and Iron.
Possible health benefits of winter squash seeds, specifically from Cucurbita maxima varieties:
     may be the prevention of prostate enlarging;
     a reduction of the prostate size, retardation of hypertension;
     lessening hypercholesterolemia and arthritis;
     known to improve bladder problems.

Numerous species of the Cucurbita genus are native to North America. Their fruits (mostly squash) have
long been used for food as well as the seeds for healing. Well-known species include autumn squash,
butternut squash, China squash, crookneck squash, summer squash, and the famous Halloween squash
and adornment - the pumpkin. All Cucurbita plants are relatively large and grow on vine-like stems,
producing yellow flowers and flattened, oval seeds. Many varieties are cultivated around the world.

Modern day squash developed from the wild squash which originated in an area between Guatemala and
Mexico. Although squash has been consumed for over 10,000 years, it was first cultivated specifically for
the seeds given that earlier squashes did not contain much flesh and what it did contain was very bitter
and unpalatable. In time, squash cultivation spread throughout the Americas. Varieties with a greater
quantity of sweeter-tasting flesh were developed. Christopher Columbus brought squash back to Europe
from the New World. Like other Native American foods, the cultivation of squash was introduced
throughout the world by the Portuguese and Spanish explorers. Today, the largest commercial producers
of squash include China, Japan, Romania, Turkey, Italy, Egypt, and Argentina.

Some benefits of squash seeds are:
    diuretic,
    tonic,
    vermifuge (expel parasites),

The seeds of cucurbita plants are particularly nutrient-dense, providing notable stores of protein, fiber,
iron, copper, magnesium, manganese, and phosphorous, as well as the amino acids arginine and glutamic

The seeds also contain calcium, potassium, zinc, selenium, folate, and niacin.

The seeds of certain Cucurbita varieties, including the pumpkin, contain linolenic acid, a nutrient
believed to help prevent hardening of the arteries.

Specifically, cucurbita seeds may help to:
    eradicate intestinal parasites, such as tapeworms and roundworms;
       prevent and relieve symptoms of prostate enlargement;
     Preliminary findings also indicate the seeds may reduce hormonal damage to prostate cells,
        possibly reducing future risk of developing prostate cancer.

                    CANTALOUPE (SEED)
The seed is the egg that contains the nutrients required to nourish the growth of a new plant. No wonder
they are an excellent nutritional package. They are filled with healthy minerals, niacin, folic-acid and a
rich source of Vitamin E.

Cantaloupe is high in beta carotene which is converted into Vitamin A. Studies have suggested that diets
high in beta carotene and Vitamin A reduces the risk of cataracts.

Cantaloupe is high in Vitamin C. Studies suggest that diets containing rich sources of Vitamin C enjoy
longer life spans and reduce the occurrence of death from diseases.

Cantaloupe has also been related to improved lung health for smokers and second hand smokers as well
as reduced age related macular degeneration.

Cantaloupe contains:
    Vitamin C
    Vitamin A (Beta Carotene)
    Potassium
    Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)
    Folate
    Dietary Fiber
    Vitamin B3 (Niacin)

Cantaloupe seeds are rich in protein and monounsaturated fats. In China the seeds were used to moderate
fevers and the digestive system. Elsewhere, pulverized seeds were used to treat tuberculosis. In addition,
the seeds will clear phlegm and benefit the intestines.

The seed is:
    antitussive (cough suppressant),
    digestive,
    febrifuge (reducing fever)
    vermifuge (serving to destroy or expel parasitic worms).

                                          GREEN TEA LEAF
The active ingredients in green tea extract are polyphenols in the form of flavinoids like catechins and
epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Polyphenols, flavinoids, catechins and EGCG are powerful
antioxidants that appear to interfere with and reduce the spread of certain types of cancer cells. The
antioxidant activity of EGCG in green tea extract is purportedly up to 100 times more powerful than that
of vitamin C or E.

UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, an award-winning cancer research center, reported in
their 2005 Cancer Discoveries newsletter that several published, peer-reviewed studies indicated that
green tea extract “induces death in cancer cells” without affecting healthy cells, and prevents cancer cells
from producing the “independent blood supply” required to spread to other parts of the body. This
indicates that green tea extract might help to keep cancer contained, making it easier to treat.

Studies conducted by other respected universities and clinics have also showed promising results
involving breast, liver, lung and colon cancer, among others. The Mayo Clinic conducted a small study
using four patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Three of the four patients showed
significant regression of CLL after taking green tea extract for a period of a few months. The fourth
patient‟s prognosis was improved, but not significantly. A larger trial is needed to see if these results can
be repeated with consistency.
Green tea extract might also be beneficial in improving cardiovascular circulation by reducing LDL or
“bad cholesterol,” suppressing appetite and improving oxidation of fat.

Green tea extract health benefits include:

     Cut stroke by up to 80%
     Proven to help prevent heart disease
     One of the strongest anti-oxidants available
     Recommended by Cancer Society as a "High Priority for Cancer Prevention"
     Protects the prostate from cancer
     May lower the risk of breast cancer and prevent it from spreading in women who already have it.
     Proven to help with weight loss
     Helps digestion and reduces bloating
     Normalizes healthy bacteria in the intestines
     Helps stop dental decay and gum disease
       Helps with bad breath
       Contains antioxidant compounds

NEWS / RESEARCH: The latest figures from Marketdata, Inc., which analyses ten major segments of
the U.S. diet industry, put the current annual total at $58 billion spent on weight-loss products and
services. In a 393-page study entitled: “The U.S. Weight Loss & Diet Control Market (9th edition),”
Marketdata projects 6 percent annual growth for the total U.S. weight loss market, to $68.7 billion by
2010, followed thereafter by lower overall growth.

The analysis includes ten major segments of the U.S. diet industry: diet drugs, diet books and exercise
videos, diet soft drinks, artificial sweeteners, diet dinner entrees and meal replacements, health clubs, diet
websites, commercial chains, hospital, RD and MD-based programs, kid‟s weight loss camps and
bariatric surgeries. Of these, diet soft drinks gets the largest share at 29.5 percent and was worth $19
billion in 2006. Bariatric surgeries reached record levels with a total of 177,000 in 2006, representing a
$4.4 billion market. Prescription diet drugs claimed $459 million of the 2006 market. Among diet
companies, market leaders are Weight Watchers ($1.2 bill.), NutriSystem ($568 mill.), LA Weight Loss
($500 mill.), Jenny Craig ($462 mill.), Slim-Fast ($310 mill.) and Herbalife ($271 mill). (Tampa FL
PRWEB, April 19, 2007; LaRosa J. U.S. Weight Loss & Diet Control Market, Marketdata Enterprises,

According to statistics nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults are overweight (BMI > 25), which includes those
who are obese. Nearly one-third of U.S. adults are obese (BMI > 30). An estimated 70 percent of
diabetes risk in the U.S. can be attributed to excess weight. No wonder the weight loss industry is a
multibillion dollar industry.

    Overweight: Overweight refers to an excess of body weight compared to set standards. The
        excess weight may come from muscle, bone, fat, and/or body water. Individuals with a BMI of 25
        to 29.9 are considered overweight.
    Obesity: Obesity refers specifically to having an abnormally high proportion of body fat.
        Individuals with a BMI of 30 or more are considered obese.
    BMI or body mass index: A number of methods are used to determine if someone is overweight
        or obese. Some are based on the relation between height and weight; others are based on
        measurements of body fat. The most commonly used method today is body mass index (BMI).
    BMI or body mass index is found by dividing a person‟s weight in kilograms by height in meters
        squared. The mathematical formula is: weight (kg) / height squared (m²). To determine BMI
          using pounds and inches, multiply your weight in pounds by 704.5, then divide the result by your
          height in inches, and divide that result by your height in inches a second time.

The number of products and services available are overwhelming. We hear about a new weight loss
product/service as well as another weight loss scam just about everyday. Many of these weight loss
products/services use misleading endorsements, misleading claims, or false testimonies and photos to
promote their products. Each one claims to have the latest technology and/or the latest new life changing
ingredient. Many even offer a “free trial”…a free trial that becomes very expensive.

We are excited to have available a product that is tried and proven. It is our Slim Natur-Aly. While we are
bombarded from all sides with the marketing hype of all these products/services, we need to do our due
diligence and go beyond the hype to look at the facts behind the claims.

We will begin our journey of the Slim Natur-Aly ingredients by taking a look at the benefits of the
Kidney Bean Extract.

The FDA released its updated list of what they call “tainted weight loss products” containing undeclared,
active pharmaceutical ingredients. Their first list of 28 different products was released in December 2008.
On January 08, 2009, the FDA expanded the list to 41. The list is now at 72 and growing. The FDA is
continuing to seek product recalls and may take additional enforcement action including initiating
seizures or lodging criminal complaints.

Slim Natur-Aly contains no caffeine, no ephedrine, and no stimulants AND no undeclared active
pharmaceutical ingredients. It was specially formulated to work with the diet of today which is high in
starch and fat. Recognizing that the body needs starch and fat Slim Natur-Aly has a balanced formula to
block the basic quantity of starch and fats yet allowing the body to use some of that which was consumed.
We all know a healthy diet and exercise is important for a strong healthy body. Start cultivating that new
lifestyle to a healthier you today.
