Subject of the competition :
Luke Slater is pleased to announce a public competition to design the logo of his a new record
label MOTE EVOLVER.

RULES :

Purpose
The main logo symbol for Mote Evolver, which will be used for the web site, media products,
vinyl records, merchandising and so on. This list is not exhaustive.

Guidance and format
The logo must be recognizable and identifiable directly to the record label Mote Evolver.
The design must read « Mote-Evolver », the identity can be text-based, logo or any
combination of the letters M-E or ME.
The logo must be original work of the submitter. It must use a free font or an original font
created by the submitter and should be easy to to read.
The logo must fit on the half round central sticker of a record so 100mm diameter with a hole
of 7.2mm in the middle.
The logo should be able to be printed in monochrome and color media, including 2 or 3
limited colors.
The size must be adjustable from very small to large
The logo must not exploit or offend anyone's sex, race, religion, morality, culture, nor be
salacious or pornographic.
You can send as many entries as you want. Each submission should include the following
information and should be sent to competition@mote-evolver.com :
• High resolution print-ready scalable vector format, EPS or .tiff (10Mo max)
• JPEG or PNG thumbnail with a resolution of 640 x 480
• Design concept / description.
• Submitter's full name, email address.
Any submissions which does not satisfy the above "guidance and format" will be ignored
without any warning.

Participation
The competition is open to all designers, photographers, draftsman, both professional and
non-professional. Participation can only take place in a private personal capacity. Entry to the
competition is open to all individuals over 18.

Copyright assignment
Luke Slater will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the
winning designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation all other rights related
to the design (paperwork will be required).
By submitting a logo for entry in the competition, the designer acknowledges that he/she is
the person that made the logo and is its rightful owner.
Only entries with a declaration of authorship are accepted, please add:
the design is my own creation and has been developed in conformity with the competition’s
guideline.
(competition’s guideline: the design shall not in any way infringe any third party’s right,
including but not limited to copyright, logos, trademark, trade names, or other proprietary
rights of publicity or privacy.)

Prizes
The winner will recieve the 3 first releases of the label Mote Evolver in all formats :
download of his his choice + limited edition vinyl and all the merchandising Mote Evolver
like record bags, Tshirts and products made with the logo. This merchandising list is not
exhaustive.
Also the winner will be announced on Luke Slater’s official official international site :
www.lukeslater.com (one of the 1st electronic artist researched in google)

Submission deadline
27 November 2005.

Jury
The logo will be chosen by Mote Evolver label’s manager Nadia C. and Luke Slater.
