                        A Sign of Summer:
Hanging Flower Baskets to be Delivered to the Downtown Waterfront

Despite the recent unseasonably cold weather, the Duluth Downtown Waterfront District
is gearing up for the summer season.

136 hanging flower baskets will be delivered to the Downtown on Tuesday, June 9th
starting at 9:00am. The baskets have been growing at Engwall Florist and Greenhouses
and will be placed out on the light poles of the Downtown Waterfront by the Clean &
Safe Team Tuesday.

The flowers and their maintenance are funded by property owners in the Duluth
Downtown Waterfront District. Just last month, volunteers provided helping hands in
planting flowers that adorn approximately 180 streetscape planters on the sidewalks. The
beautification efforts all add a splash of color to our central business district.

The Duluth Downtown Waterfront District is proudly managed by the Greater Downtown
Council.
