Instructions for viewing our data in Google Earth
Once you click on the link to the Google Earth file, Google Earth will open
automatically and zoom to the location of the data.
Use your zoom tools located across the top of your toolbar to zoom in to one of the
bayous or to a certain location of interest
You will notice that as you move your mouse pointer across the screen, it will remain
in the shape of a hand. Use this hand to click on any point and it will reveal its
By clicking on the (+) sign to the left of the table of contents you will see a list of all
the sample sites. You can click on any of this and the map will zoom to its location.

Attribute definitions are as follows:
Sample ID – identification label assigned to each sample site
Total PCB – total dioxins/furans and polychlorinated biphenyls
Total TEQ – toxicity of dioxins/furans and dioxin-like PCBs is expressed as Toxic
Total PAH – polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
ppb – parts per billion
ppm – parts per million
BDL – below detection limits
NA – not available; in other words, the site was not analyzed for this analyte
