INSTALLATION SERVICES and HARDWARE ACQUISITION OF
               IBM TS3200 Tape Library




               LOS ANGELES COUNTY
                OFFICE OF ASSESSOR
INTRODUCTION

This document defines the requirements, deliverables, tasks, and scope of the work to be
delivered by CONTRACTOR to the Los Angeles /County of Assessor (LACA).
CONTRACTOR shall provide the services necessary to accomplish all of the tasks and subtasks
in this Statement of Work (SOW) and to successfully install, configure, test, and implement all of
the components listed in EXHIBIT A (Component Listing) including, but not limited to, all
associated software and/or firmware, patches/fixes, and interfaces, post implementation support.
CONTRACTOR is responsible for all acts, and services required to provide LACA with a fully
functional System in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Specifications, whether or not the acts
or services required to do so are specifically identified as a Task, subtask, or Deliverable in this
Statement of Work, and unless otherwise expressly stated, all work described in this Statement of
Work shall be performed by CONTRACTOR.

EXHIBIT A (Component Listing) to this Statement of Work identifies all of the hardware,
software, and their corresponding manufacturer part numbers that shall be installed by
CONTRACTOR. Software and or other bundled items not listed in EXHIBIT A that are deemed
as bundled items by the Manufacturer shall be installed and implemented in accordance with
Manufacturer’s Specifications, whether or not they are specifically listed in EXHIBIT A. LACA
is responsible for procuring and taking delivery of these components prior to commencement of
installation and engineering services.

TASK 1.       Installation and Engineering Services

CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for unpacking, installing, installation testing and
integrating of all components listed in EXHIBIT A including integration into existing LACA
Data Center. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible, at its expense, for obtaining any and all
governmental licenses or permits that may be required for carrying out the installation at LACA
Facilities. CONTRACTOR shall deliver and transfer any and all Documentation and licenses for
software, firmware, utility programs, and any and all other software provided by the
manufacturer as well as warranties for all of the components listed in EXHIBIT A. All work
must be completed by an authorized IBM SOLUTIONS PROVIDER.

The installation Engineer is required to have an IBM iSeries Engineer/Implementation
Certification with a minimum of 2 years experience installing IBM iSeries equipment.

Subtask 1.1 Install, and Configure all components

CONTRACTOR shall unpack, install, configure, connect, power-up, and test, in accordance with
Manufacturer’s Specifications all components listed in EXHIBIT A. Upon completion of
installation, CONTRACTOR shall submit to LACA the documents listed below. These
documents are to be known as the Post Installation Documents.

A. A listing of all components that were installed including equipment type, model number,
   serial number, location, name, version number, and license number.

B. The manufacturer's warranties.

C. Certification that all components are installed and operating properly according to
   Manufacturer’s specifications.

D. All reference and operating manuals and all other Documentation pertaining to the operation
   of the equipment.

E. Any and all manufacturer maintenance and technical support availability and telephone
   numbers.


Subtask 1.2 Provide Engineering Services for IBM TS3200 Tape Library

CONTRACTOR shall provide all engineering services related to configuration and
implementation of the new IBM TS3200 Tape Library to properly function with LACA’s
existing Production environment and attached servers currently installed in the LACA Network
Data Center and integrate them with all required components listed in EXHIBIT A. All work
must be completed by an IBM Solutions Provider. Any disruptive work that affects access to the
production system (iSeries 570) will be scheduled for weekend hours. Activities under this
subtask shall include, but not be limited to, the following services:

A. Install IBM TS3200 Tape Library hardware components, ensure configuration matches
   current environment.

B. Migrate the TS3200 Tape Library to production Environment.

C. Ensure connectivity functionally in new environment.

D. Recommend optimum configuration settings based on LACA’s existing environment as well
   as anticipated future needs.

E. Provide Knowledge Transfer (Training) for up to 4 personnel from the Office of the
   Assessor.

Work Schedule

CONTRACTOR must provide service within 2 weeks of receipt of purchase order.
Service is to be performed on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) to be coordinated with the Office
of Assessor’s Computer Operations Supervisor.
