       Preparation of the Design documents for the development of the front end application for a Non-life

Mastek Ltd, India : February 2006 – March 2007
Role: Lead Business Analyst
Project: Development of Elixir (SOA Based Insurance product for the Global Market)

Overview:
Mastek Ltd. was developing a SOA based insurance solution, Elixir, catering to all lines of business viz. Life,
Pensions, Annuities, Investments and Bonds for the Global market with minimum customization.

The basis of the new product was to create rule based software to facilitate easy implementation across the
global marketplace. This product was a revamped version of their existing insurance solutions Elixir and was
initially being implemented for Zurich Financial Services of UK. Elixir was designed to conform to US ACORD
standards.

Responsibilities:

       Lead Business Analyst for Policy Administration & Servicing module Elixir Insurance solution.
       Analyze and understand the global insurance markets (US, UK, AP, etc.) with respect to products,
        processes and regulatory environments.
       Preparation of Requirements and Functional Specifications document for PAS module of Elixir,
        encompassing Life Insurance policies, Pension and Annuities, Investments and Bonds, etc.
       Definition of Business rules for Business rules engine.
       Interact with the client in UK to elicit the business requirements specific to the region.
       Core team member of Design and Development team.
       Review of Functional Specifications documents for Claims & Underwriting.
       Share the business knowledge with the designer and development team on the different aspects of Life
        Insurance and Annuities.
