In the great tradition of British hospitality
How about staying in Sir Robert Peel’s old home? Or eating in an
18th century hotel in the heart of “The English Switzerland” – Matlock Bath
in Derbyshire? Or a Grade II listed house in Chester which dates back to
Tudor times? Or the 15th century Red Lion Hotel in Colchester,
the second oldest hotel in the country?

Hotel after hotel, steeped in history, with that special atmosphere which
only comes from looking after guests for hundreds of years. It’s in the calm
and comforting informality which characterises your favourite Brook Hotel
                      as your special home-from-home.

If you’re not into 21st century hotels and bed factories, you may have
thought that hotels with charm and character had vanished with the
passing of time. If you seek them out, they’re still there, still just as anxious
to serve you as they ever were.

The Younger Pitt was Prime - but the bedrooms are

    Brook Waterloo Hotel
1829 – Wellington would be proud

The Duke would have ridden straight by! Quenching thirsty travellers for over 100 years

The hotel is set in the beautiful village of Crowthorne, in the heart of the Royal County
of Berkshire. The village name originates from the first Master of Wellington College.
He was riding horseback through the village when he spotted a black crow perched on
    a thorn bush.

The hotel itself was built in the mid 1800’s around the same time as Wellington
College. Both buildings take their names from the area’s association with the Duke of
Wellington and the Battle of Waterloo. The Duke enjoyed riding his horse Copenhagen
along what is now called Dukes Ride.

The original use for the hotel was as a hostel for the Assistant Masters at Wellington
College, then as a public house serving beer and cheese to travellers and passers-by.

In 1946 the building officially became an hotel and has been expanded over the

     QUEENSFERRY (Edinburgh)

     Brook Queensferry Hotel
For 21 years, the pride of the Firth of Forth

Outstanding location and access Your home from home

The Brook Queensferry Hotel is set on the north bank of the beautiful Firth of Forth,
overlooking the famous bridges and provides panoramic views of windsurfers and ocean-
going vessels on the river, as well as the fields and woodlands beyond.

From noblemen to commoners, from Kings to cattle, all had to use the Queen's Ferry to cross
the Forth river. In the 1870s there was an increasing call for a bridge to be built over the Forth
and work began. In the 1970s on the banks of the river, the Brook Queensferry Hotel was
built to provide comfortable accommodation for all travellers. The hotel has undergone an
extensive refurbishment programme which includes new bedrooms, bar, restaurant area and
reception, giving the hotel a contemporary feel.

You’ll find us an ideal base to explore some of Scotland's other fascinating destinations. With
Edinburgh City centre some 20 minutes away, or if you are traveling further a field then St Andrew's,
Stirling, The Trossachs, Glasgow, Perth or Dundee are all within 1 hour of the hotel.

Impressive and that’s just the outside Built with meetings in mind

The Brook Honiley Court Hotel and Conference Centre is a charming hotel dating
back to 16th century when it was originally built as a farm. Back then the whole
area was an agricultural hub, of which the hotel enjoyed pride of place. The farm
was refurbished into a pub in the late 17th century and was called The Boot Inn,
which is now incorporated into the hotel.

All the custodians of the property have striven to conserve the original building
but while adding a contemporary twist. This can be seen today, with some of the
feature rooms and the bar area, which are in the original building.

In our spacious modern restaurant and cosy welcoming bar you leave the stresses
of modern life behind. For conferences, look no further. The purpose built
facilities ensure that many companies return regularly for their important
     functions and meetings.
