NOAA Central Region Team Meeting May 2007
Issue
NOAA has been experimenting with and gradually improving regional coordination for some time External trends and stakeholder demands require a step increase in NO`AA’s approach New effort represents a significant, long-term organizational initiative
• Key internal issue: blending national and regional capabilities; improving services and value through program integration on a regional scale • Key external issue: leveraging current and emerging regional partnerships

Goals of Regional Collaboration
Improved services for the benefit of NOAA’s customers
Increased value and productivity of partnerships
