                              Chassis Style for Centurion!

A need to service key customers in Australia’s North has led Centurion to purchase nine
new Maxi-CUBE C-Series vans.

Established in 1971 by Frank and Carl Cardaci, Centurion initially serviced just the
mining communities of Western Australia. The brothers’ vision has grown through the
introduction of a range of specialised transport services, including refrigerated transport,
utilising a modern fleet of approximately 800 vehicles and specialised pieces of
equipment operating from strategically located depots around the state.

With a pending refrigerated transport contract with Woolworths supermarkets, Centurion
Asset and Plant Manager, Andrew Foster, initially approached MaxiTRANS Western Australia
Sales Account Manager, Mike Dawson, to develop a specification that would be “the best fit
for the contract requirements and which would be regarded as best practice.”

It was a timely request by Centurion as Maxi-CUBE had only just launched the C-Series
late last year and had already received positive feedback from local operators who were
trialing the van and saw the C-Series as being a good fit for the broad range of road
conditions encountered across WA.

Andrew and Centurion prefer to have all their vans built with a full length chassis, and
the advantage of the Maxi-CUBE model was that they weren’t going to have to sacrifice
any interior height, ensuring maximum payload volume.

By providing this option as part of the overall product mix, Maxi-CUBE can provide
refrigerated transport operators with a broad scope of designs and options to meet
specific contract requirements.

Looking to the future, Andrew has stated that Centurion will most likely add more Maxi-
CUBE C-Series models to their fleet as part of their ongoing replacement program.
The C-Series is available in a range of different models including; Reefer, High Cube
Reefer, Freezer, Chiller and Dry Freight.
