                                                 Learning How to Create a Blog


Course Overview          Many times, people are intimidated by the idea of having to create a blog when it is in fact not a difficult
                         process. This course is intended for those who have an interest in learning blog creation and utilizing
                         blogging in their lives. Members of this course will have access to all the equipment needed in creating a
                         blog. They will gain the skills necessary to create, utilize, and maintain an online blog. In addition,
                         members will understand how to use a blog as a personal tool or as an educational one.


Target Audience          10 High School Teachers at Riverside Academy West
                            -Gender: 8 Females and 2 Males
                            -Subject: 2 English, 2 Social Studies, 2 Math, 1 Science, 1 Physical Education, 1 Art, 1 Arabic
                            -Age Range: 4 (21-30), 3 (31-40), 3 (41-50)
                            -Ethnicity/Race: 6 Caucasian, 4 Arab-American.

Instructional Goal       Riverside Academy West high school teachers will use www.blogger.com to create classroom blogs.


Performance Objectives      1. Given a computer and Internet access, Riverside Academy high school teachers will create a
                               Google email in one attempt.

                            2. Given a computer and Internet access to Google email, Riverside Academy high school teachers
                               will personalize a blog to be used in their classrooms in one attempt.

                              3. Given a computer and Internet access to a blog creation website, Riverside Academy high school
                                 teachers will upload at least one picture to a blog.

                              4. Given a computer and Internet access to their personally-created blogs, Riverside Academy high
                                 school teachers will make at least one posting on their classroom blog.

                              5. Given a computer and Internet access to a blog creation website, Riverside Academy high school
                                 teachers will create a classroom blog and maintain and update it weekly.
