I took my mama to Dr. Schwartz a few years ago. Oh, how I remember his
staff and how he had helped my mama. She has passed, three years
September 12, 2003. I am now trying to find help for a friend who also
suffers from RSD. Her family dropped her in a nursing. Go figure. Does
anyone in your staff know of a Doctor in Charlotte, NC that can help her?
The Drs. here just fill her up with Oxycotin. That was the same problem
with my mama in NC. Any advice is truly appreciated. Love to all that
suffer with RSD. I've seen it first hand. My prayers are that soon a cure or
relief for their pain is soon found. Most Sincerely, Deborah Winslow

After 6 yrs. of looking for help and info. I find this site and now know that
it's the Dr.'s that are crazy and not the people that have RSD. How can
one place know all the symptoms of RSD, what it can effect yet another
place say it's all in her head? Why don't Dr's do re-search to help? My
child is 15 and has had this for 6 yrs. Yet, we have been told it's all in her
head, she just wants drugs ect. I am hoping I can take info. from this site
and not only help my child but others that may follow her.

YOUR WEBSITE IS SOOO REFRESHING, DR. SCHWARTZ! I HAVE
FULL BODIED RSD ALONG WITH A GAZILLION OTHER WEIRD
THINGS GOING ON WITH MY BODY THAT ARE CONNECTED TO THE
RSD. I HAVE AN ANATOMY BACKGROUND (WAS GOING TO GET MY
MASTERS DEGREE AS A PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT BEFORE THE RSD
(POST HAND SURGERY FOR ME). KNOWING HOW INVOLVED THE
SYMPATHETIC NERV. SYST. IS IN OUR BODY, I WONDERED HOW
DR.'S COULD SAY THAT OUR HEART, EYES, ETC. COULD NOT BE
AFFECTED BY RSD. FINALLY, YOU HAVE CONFIRMED MY
THOUGHTS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NOT BEING AFRAID TO SAY
WHAT YOU THINK AND FOR STUDYING THIS AREA. PERHAPS,
ONCE IGNORANCE IS TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY, THERE WILL BE
MORE ROOM FOR FINDING A TREATMENT. GOD BLESS YOU AND
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR
YOUR WORK.

I have RSD for almost 4 years. I never dreamed a person as healthy and
active as myself would end up spending her time fighting something like
this. My last complication from RSD landed my in the hospital for a month.
It has affected my heart, I do not produce cortisol and in return has
affected my renal glands so I have dangerous levels of sodium and
potassium in my system. I was also given 40mg of Baclofen which ended
up putting me in a coma. I also found many of the nurses taking care of
me didn't know about RSD which made somethings worse. We must
educate the health professionals and the public about this. I am home now
and trying to get stronger and find the means to be able to come to South
Carolina and see Dr. Schwartz. I went to the 2005 conference and was
very impressed with what I heard. I do not like taking pain meds and only
take them when the pain is so severe I can't sleep or eat for days. I just
had a continues Lidocaine drip to help ease the pain. It has worked for
now but is very expensive. It is not a cure which we all need but for now I
can sleep and eat a little better. This web site is very helpful and my family
has been helped by it. Thank Dr. Schwartz and everyone who is reaching
out and helping us. God Bless and be pain free some day soon. Tammy

I am a RSD patient currently in remission and volunteer with the RSD Alert
Team, out of England. Thank you for good web sites. I just wish there
were more information out there for DR's.So many Dr's don't know any
thing about this condition. I get so many emails from people suffering with
RSD and they can not get any help. Most don't even get diagnosed till
years later and are already disabled. I did get diagnosed very early and
got good physical therapy. I was back to work about a year later. I still
have pain when I over use my hand but I am trying to deal with this. And I
pray mine stays in remission. Thank You Carole Faulkner.

A warm Hello to Each of You- Often many of you have inquired of my
health problems and to the best of my ability I've tried to explain my
discomfort. It's all very difficult to explain, but it all stems from severe neck
injury that Isuffered from car accident I was involved in back in 1977--in
Houston, TX. while going to Bible College.(and no, I wasn't the driver- hee-
hee!) This month in PEOPLE magazine Paula Abdul has an article on the
very same thing I suffer with. The magazine date is May2--If you have
opportunity, please look the article over. With the wonderful Dr. that I'm
working with-I have now been able to rise above almost all of the pain and
discomfort. All the odd symptoms that other physicians gave me more pills
for or even told me it was in my HEAD--are all behind me now! Dr. Robert
Schwartz has a website that I'm sure you would find interesting to view as
well, it is; www.piedmontpmr.com Thank you for your friendship and
inquiring about this obstacle that has followed me for more than half my
life--I hope and pray that it will perhaps inform you and even members of
your social circle to a better understanding of chronic pain sufferers and
their silent tasks to maintain a normal life of activity. Please don't make the
mistake of categorizing patients of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy as being
mentally challenged or emotionally unstable-- (although many of you and
MY FAMILY would debate this issue heavily in MY case!), but actually it's
quite the contour--You must be very strong emotionally to over ride the
pain and distractions of the discomfort. Not to mention the fight to stay
focused on anything! For those of us that love life and it's purpose--we
continue--and with assistance sent to us through Physicians such as
Paula's Doctor and Dr. Robert Schwartz, we receive the blessing of normal
function. To express our appreciation to these Professionals and our
gratitude to each of you for loving us--is way beyond words...thank you!
Gratefully, Barb

Great website. Great Doctor also! I have dealt with chronic pain for years
and had taken high powered, highly addictive pain meds for years to cope
with the pain. Thanks to Dr. Shwartz I have felt better than I have since I
was eighteen years old. The only meds I take is an occasional ibuprofin or
tylenol. Dr. Shwartz is no cheerleader or back patter. He is a great doctor
who gives it to you straight and don't beat around the bush. He tells you
what to do and expects you to do it. I listened, did what he said, and look
at me now! Thanks Doc!

Dear Anyone, My husband has RSDS and we don't know what to do. He
has been through everything you can think of. Therapy, Nerve
blocks,Drugs and BAD Treatment as well has some good treatment. But
here we are 4 1/2 years down the road and we are still suffering and trying
to find more answers. Today we had to go to the emergency room once
more for pain relief. We meat a very nice Dr. and all he could say is you
need treatment, Well HELLO we know that. But once again we are left out
in the cold. So here I am tring to find more answers to lots of questions.
Tommorrow I contact the more people and maybe we might be able to
meet this Dr. Schwartyz one day soon. I just would like someone to give
me some answers to alot of unanswered questions. To help my husband
be able to live some sort of a "Normal" LIFE.We are not looking for hand
outs just answers and maybe some help! I am glad I found this sight and
hope we all can help each other. Thanks, Lynn from SC.

I can't believe the knowledge/support efforts of RSD in G'ville! I moved to
Alaska earlier this year with a referral for PT on a high ankle sprain with
multiple microtears along achilles. After 5 mo.s there was little
improvement and injured my knee at work-slipped causing a " giving way "
effect. Swelling, burning and red blotchiness was evident 24 hrs. later. The
Dr. at PT office has RSD and sent me to several specialist. It was just
agreed upon through a bone scan, MRI, and thermography that its early
RSD. I'm on Neurontin 900mg/day for 10 days and then will take
alpha/beta blockers with a series of ganglion blocks at the end of the
month. You see, I lived in Gower Estates for thirty some years. Greenville
is home to my family. I've had mixed emotions about the medical care here
but my Dr. seems to be right ontop of this. Mother naturally wants me
home now to help me with this. If I do move back down there, I'd like to
become involved in clinical trials etc. I can't believe the lack of
information/research about this, so I'd be happy to assist in any
way/shape/form! Thank you for a much needed breath of help towards
knowledge your website provides!!

To Dr Schwartz I am 41 and a Polio Survivor. I do well and walk with a
cane and rebraced. I am self motivated and educate myself a lot on Post
Polio and the PPS and management. I would like to congratulate you on
all you are doing down there in SC. I live in Ontario Canada. For those
interested my orthopaedic shoe maker has a video of me walking with and
without the leg brace and you can see my custom shoes. MY MESSAGE
to all is in 2 years I have been reading and educating about PPS and me
and energy management. I work as an Engineer. I have to this date not
seen such a well written article that you composed on Anterior Horn Cells.
I just happen to type it in on the MSN Home page and your article was the
best I have ever seen. I also enjoyed the RSD and the thoracis Outlet
articles. Please keep up the good work about education and management.
This was the main point of my e mail was to compliment you on your
fabulous website and u taking tech info and keeping it technical yet
readable. The Website where I can be seen is
www.ambulatoryfootwear.com. I have a team of experts here helping me
and at 32 (about 10 years ago) I was un braced in lousy shoes and going

I have been having the time of my life with this nifty disease-----have the
suppressed immune system to prove it!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying the antibiotic
regieme from Dr. Schwartz----called him from my docs office on my cell
phone, and had my doc talk to him while I was there. Dr. Scwhartz told him
what bloods to draw, and how I should take the minocycline. Also has me
taking a pro-biotic. I was really glad that he was willing to share the info
with us, I told Lynne, who I spoke with first, that I wasn't able to come to
their clinic, due to my insurance. They were soooo nice, and I really
         appreciated it. `

Hello Louise, I don't know if you got my other email but I wanted to let you
know I think that Dr. Swartz saved my life. I was so sick when I went to
him. I could hardly walk. I was always running a low grade fever and felt
terrible. I always blamed everything on RSD. Dr. Swartz found out that I
had two different infections going on in my body. Plus mercury poisoning
also my blood levels were so low in minerals. He also cleared up my
thinking by changing a few medications. I still have RSD but I will not let it
control my life any longer.I wanted to" Thank You " personally for meeting
me at the door to his office and showing me around. You are an asset to

My 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with RSD in Oct of 2002. We had
never heard of this. It started in her left big toe her entire foot was swollen
and blue. We spent a week in the hospital in Macon then a week in Emory
University Hosp in Atlanta. While in Atlanta they preformed a
sympenthectomy. Three weeks later it was back so then they started the
radio frequency nerve burnings. After two failed and nobody could answer
any questions God lead us to the internet site of Dr. Schwartz, After almost
6 months of not being able to walk and intense pain. After the diagnoses
and an injection in her back, she walked out of Dr.Schwartz's office
PRAISE THE LORD!!!! After the 4th visit Charlene states that she is 100%
better than when we went Jan 28,03. I thank God that He has blessed Dr.
Schwartz with the knowledge to help people with this condition. All praise
honor and glory goes to God!! And I thank Dr Schwartz for being willing to
learn. It is well worth the 5hour trip to SC. If you are out there wondering
should I go, Make the decision and go NOW!!! Lisa Mullis

Your site is very interesting. I have had RSD in my right shoulder/arm for
almost four years. I has started spreading to the left shoulder/arm and my
right leg. I am treated with pain medications, muscle relaxers,
antidepressants and a medication to stop the constricture of the blood
vessels. I get very little relief but what I get is certainly appreciated. I have
a history of a severe staph infection (MRSA) in my right knee and wonder if
this could be a possible source of my problem. I will tell my doctor about
your antibiotic article and see what he thinks. I know that I am not anemic
but also know that 4 years ago my C Reactive Protein was elevated. I have
allergies to many antibiotics but maybe there is one out there that I could
try. I am desperate at this point for relief. I have very little energy, difficulty
sleeping, and a major problem with sweating 24/7. Anyway thanks for your
article and I have some hope that maybe there is something out there that
we have not yet tried. Thanks for all the work you are doing.

Dr. Schwartz, Thank You! About three years ago, I emailed you. I told you
about the contractures / dystonia problems I was having in my upper right
side. I have had RSD since 1989. I mentioned in my previous email, that I
was one of Dr. Anthony Kirkpatrick's former patients, from when he was
with James Haley VAMC and the University of South Florida. You
suggested I talk to my doctor at the Veterans Affairs hospital here in St.
Petersburg about Botox injections. Well I have been receiving Botox since
that time. I get injections every three months ( 2 vials per visit). The doctor
starts in my hand, then arm, shoulder, neck and then my face. It has really
made a difference in my ability to function. I'm still working 40 hours a
week, although I have slowed down over time.

presentations and advice that he provided to all of us at the RSD Hope
conference in Portland, Maine. I enjoyed hearing him so much....everything
he said made sense to me, and believe me, with RSD, not everything
makes sense at times! If my treatments up here do not help in the near
future, I hope I can make it to South Carolina for help with my hand. I am
glad that there are doctors out there, in particular Dr. Schwartz, who take
RSD seriously, and offer hope and help to us sufferers! Thank you so

Hi, I just found your site and decided to sign in. I fell about 4 years ago,
landed on my face and developed TMJ problems. Osteo-Arthritis set in,
extreme bone loss followed, facial pain, then temperature changes in my
face started occuring. After 3 years of just being treated for TMJ, my hands
started swelling, turning red, burning pain from my face spread to my
hands and arms and now it is going into my legs, thighs and feet. I guess I
have it body-wide, but my doctor said he doesn't believe RSD exists body-
wide. I've had 2 stellate blocks in the past 2 weeks and the redness and
pain went away for about 12 hours and comes back strong on the other
side. My face is better, but my legs and knees are worse. I told my doctor
of a rash that is gray-red in color and extreme swelling on my thighs, but he
seemed unconcerned and is happy my face is improving. So am I, but I'm
worried about the increase of the pain in my legs. Is it possible to correct
the problem one place and have it move to another? I also had a bone
scan that showed increased blood flow to all the joints in my body, which
seems like a lot for arthritis. When I read things on the internet I worry I'm
not doing enough to stop this from spreading. I want to help myself, but all
my doctors will say is the internet has a lot of bad information going
around. Are any of you on vitamins or do any thing to prevent this from
spreading? I'm on large doses of pain medication and muscle relaxors and
that's about it. Neurotin knocks me out. I hope I'm not rambling on, since
this is just a sign in page. It's just not a simple disease to describe. I no
longer work and am in bed most of the day. Walking increases all my pain
and sitting up makes the headaches worse. My jaw joint is almost gone on
one side and causes pain on the nerves when I sit up. Surgery is out until
the RSD is under control. As you can see I feel lost and frustrated. I have
seen over 20 doctors and dentists and am worn out. My current doctor
does care and says he knows a lot about RSD. I haven't given up yet
because my family still needs me. At least I know I'm not alone by reading
all of your entries. I hope your pain gets better everyday and someday they
find a cure for this horrible disease. Thanks for any help, Fran

I haven't taken the time to post in quite a while but I have been going to
Dr.Schwartz since Jan. 2000 and I have never regreted a trip which is a 2
hour drive one way. I am looking forward to this years conference because
Dr. Schwartz will be bringing new life to us about other procedures that can
make our quality of life even better. It is hard to live with chronic pain,
believe me I know. It gets discouraging but Dr.Schwartz helps by just
knowing I have him as a Dr. with my best interest in mind. I am going to go
through a new testing procedure that he will be talking about at the seminar
next week. I am looking forward to hearing all about it. I will try anything
once and twice if it works. It's hard on your family cause they don't really
know how we feel because I look perfectly normal ( well as normal as I can
be) but my body is not normal it let's me know everyday that I have my
limitations. And that is OK. At least I have a life and I thank the Good Lord
above for his love and guiding hand everyday. Hope to see new faces at
the conference this year it will be worth your money and time to go. I

We travelled many, many miles seeking RSD answers. We found them by
visiting Dr. Schwartz in South Carolina. I am very grateful to Dr. Schwartz
and his terrific staff for the very professional and kind attention. Despite our
very short stay, Dr. Schwartz and his staff administered the necessary tests
and have given me more information and recommendations for treatment
in a few days than I had received in more than a year. Thank you, thank
you.

Hello my name is belinda kline i'm a 42 year old woman with RSD. and how
i got it was from a accident at work march 7 2000 and both my feet were
crushed and two of my ankles were broken and one was broken off where
they had to put screws in the left to put it back on. Tanya told me about this
site and i've come to check it out she has been very good to me and i
would like to thank her also. it's good to know i'm not alone anymore. but
this stuff sure can make you feel that way. the problem i'm having is i think
this stuff is spreading and all workers comp wants is for me to go back to
work. but they don't know what i'm going threw all i want is some relife not
some big settlement. they can't even fix the one foot that i can't put all my
weight on now because those people waited so long to send me to a pain
mangement specialist and nerve specialist that my orthopedic doctor kept
telling them i needed to go see that when i finally got in to see them the
nerve blocks i took only helpped for a couple of days and the pain was
back. but the swelling still keeps coming and i have new colors all the time
reds, blue, purple and bruises i can't explain. now my left leg and knee are
starting to lock up on me and swell and that don't even explain whats going
on with the rest of my left side.but thats just to much to complain about. i'm
glad theres more people out there that knows what i'm going threw and
understands it's not just in my head. thanks you guys for being there and if
you need to talk i also have another e-mail address thats got instant
messege on it and that address is belindaksis@netscape.net so if you want
to talk i will be on at night because i can't sleep very much any more either
even the pain meds don't help much any more. hope to here from you
guys? stay sweet and always remmber we have to stay stronge some how.

Dear Sir, I have just found the information you provide. I wanted to thank
you for your endeavors regarding RSDS. I obtained RSD in 1994 and was
not diagnosed until 1997. Prior to my diagnosis, cold pack and hot packs
were used in the "main area", my left knee. Later, surgery was done on the
"main area" to remove the wires holding my knee cap together. After being
diagnosed, the neuroligist ordered ganglion blocks. Limited pain medication
was provided during the period of l994-1997. I don't believe I need explain
to you what hell my life has been but I AM STILL HERE AND FIGHTING !!!!
I am currently receiving epidural blocks and have since 1999. Neurontin,
Amitrptylene, pain meds and antidepressants fill my medicine cabinet. ALL
I CAN SAY IS I WISH I HAD HAD A COMPUTER BEFORE THIS TIME. I
COULD HAVE FOUND YOU GOOD PEOPLE SOONER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
     Thank you again, Sandra Heim

Your site has been most informative and I thank you for all information. I
have had the symptoms for two years since I had a seizure and ran into a
wall. This site was the first time I had actually seen all the symptoms and a
name for the disorder. I would love information-I saw someone had
received a package of information. I just began having some different
things happen to my body over the last two weeks and accidentally
happened onto this site. I am scared about this "window" of treatment. I am
interested in any information I can get at this point. I am so glad Dr.
Schwartz is in SC. After just reading the stories people has posted-all I can
     see is a painful death.

my left foot, and I can't remember doing anything to cause it. I'm in
stage 4, but i'm still fighting. I've had blocks, theraphy, SCS,& a
medtronic pump put in.I haven't walked in over 4yrs. I've been several
places for help, and I'm going back to the Mayo Clinic the 27th of
February. Maybe they know something new because I sure want to
walk again. Pray for me if you want, for I believe HE listens!!!!!! Thanks

I have been seeing Dr. Schwartz for almost a year now. I have never
regreted any of my 2 hour trips to him which at times were everyday
and then not so often. He has helped me control my RSD in my foot at
times it bothers me more than others.. Just like with this cold weather..
I have more problems than the RSD I have nerve damage which he
treats me for also. Without his treatment this time last year I cried
everyday...The good outweights the bad days. I look ahead not behind
me... Looking forward to Spring... He is a very patient and caring
physician who truly cares about his patients and listens. We have
learned just recently after he ordered some blood work that I have a
high toxin level in my blood...But he won't give up on me until he finds
out how to control it.. I am already on some medication to do toxify
myself. And he has ordered more testing. But one of the special things
about him is that on Monday I had to return to the lab in Greenville a 6
hour Urine test that he had ordered for me. Well I had some questions I
needed to ask him due to concerns of my family and I asked Melanie at
his front desk if she thought he could spare me a minute even though I
did not have an appt. she said of course. Without an appt. he took the
time even with a office full of people waiting to see him to talk to me
about my concerns. To me that means everything. I think the world of
my primary care physician because he keeps getting me referrals for
Dr. Schwartz but he will never be able to hold a candle to the time Dr.
Schwartz spends listening to me and his other patients. Even though I
am concerned about my upcoming test results I feel confident in my dr.
that he will do all he can in his power to make me better. That's alot to
say today about a physician. If anyone has been in pain for a long time
and still have no answers please take a ride to Greenville it will be
worth it.. He has the most pleasant staff and I feel like I could actually
call on anyone of them for a question. Please feel free to email me if
you need any info or anything else about his practice. I will be glad to
share more with you... Again... May God keep you pain free and be
with you at all times... Look beside you and he is with you. Ronda

Debebie Lewis Wednesday, 11/8/00, 2:43 AM

I am president of RSDSA of the Midlands, which meets in Columbia,
SC. Our group is 5 years old now. I have RSD which started in my
lumbar spine immediately after an anterior spinal fusion in March 1994.
It quickly spread, and it now "full body". I haved an implanted narcotic
infusion pump, with Dilaudid. This is my 2nd pump, after the battery
failed after 5 years on the original one. Louise Plaster of the SC RSD
Assoc is a wonderful friend of mine, who also refers RSD'ers to our
group, that live in this area. If anyone reads this from the Columbia or
Midlands area of SC, and are looking for a support group, please
contact me at 803-532-9471 or deblewis@thestate.infi.net. And...since
this IS Dr. Schwartz' website we are on I will put in a "plug" for him, too!
I have met and talked with him, but not as a patient of his. I've been
very impressed with him, and he's volunteered his time in offering to
come to Columbia to speak for us. I know of a good many of his
patients, and have seen first-hand, what good results so many of them
have received! If you are looking for a knowledgeable and caring
doctor for your RSD, look no further than Dr. Robert Schwartz! Thank
you! Debbie Lewis.

This is an update to my earlier letter in Feb.2000.I have know been
seeing Dr. Schwartz for about 5 months. He has helped me both
physically and mentally. When you have chronic pain you sometimes
feel you are in a world all alone and feel people especially your family
think you are nuts. I am here to let everyone know that you can get
better no matter what your diagnosis is. I try not to focus on the
disease but try and figure what is best for my body at this time and
listen to what my dr. tells me. It changes from day to day. But I can
depend on Dr. Shcwartz to be there whenever I need him. I urge
anyone who is having chronic pain and no Dr. seems to know what is
wrong go to Dr. Schwartz in Greenville, or call his office and he may be
able to lead you to a Dr. closer to you. I can't say enough about his
staff there also. They are always pleasant and usually have a smile on
their face. I can call the office anytime and they will ask Dr. Schwartz a
question I may have or if he needs to respond he will. It's important for
you to feel like you are important and not just another patient. And
everyone in the office makes you feel that way. So if anyone reading
this is in need of care please don't keep on going from Dr. to Dr. cause
I have been there and you will only get worse mentally and physically. I
would be more than happy to talk to anyone. And also if you have read
Dr. Schwart's webpage you will notice that you can click on the
SCRSDA page. I have met a couple of wonderful ladies, Ms. Louise
and Ms. Bobbie. They are strong women who have been and still are
dealing with their disease but they have a positive outlook and that's
what it takes. If you would like more information you can email Ms.
Louise @scrsda1@aol.com and she can send you some important
information for you to read. Well I guess I will close for now but I pray
that everyone will have a restfull night. And always remember that you
can be helped. God Bless everyone..... Ronda Lexington SC

Diedre, Try not to get too anxious if Dr. Schwartz has not answered
you as of yet.. I am going back to see him tomorrow and I will mention
your email. He is a wonderful dr. and if anyone can help you it will be
him. He will not give up on you as long as you don't give up on
yourself. I have been seeing him since Jan as you probably saw my
earlier statement. He is continuing to try and treat me. Hang in there
and if you need to talk feel free to email me. I'm right in your backyard
almost. I will say an extra prayer for you tonight. Ronda Lexington SC

Just wanted to share with everyone that Dr.Schwartz is a
wonderful, caring doctor who deeply cares about his patients. I travel 2
hours to see him and I have only been seeing him unfourtanetly since
the Jan. 2000 after a final and terrible trip to a neurologist.I started just
to give up that day but called the RSDA to see if there was a Dr. in the
state of SC that could treat and diagnos RSD, they led me to him and it
has been a pleasure, he is one in a million. He found out more about
me and what was wrong with me in 1 visit than 6 doctors had in the last
17 months. He is taking 1 visit at a time and treating me the way he
feels is needed and I trust him completely which is a much needed part
of a relationship between a Dr. and their patient.. So if there is anyone
who needs a REAL Dr. who cares about his patient then you need to
take the trip..I never once give it a second thought each time I go. And I
always look forward to the next visit and treatment even though I don't
care too much for shot's when you get to the point of no return you will
trust in him to do what is best for you. Please feel free to email me at
any time if you have any questions. At least I know I'm not CRAZY
now, my pain is real and not in my head..... If only doctors were more
aware of what causes pain and not treat something before they know
what is wrong with a patient.. Kindest Regards & God Bless! Ronda

Dr. Swartz, I have been diagnosed with RSD and thought "I" was the
only person with this. When my "Doctor" told me of this he did not
really explain how awfull it can become. Through all of my research I
now know how extremely painfull it can be. In addition, I now know that
"I" am not alone!! Thank you so very much for taking your valuable time
to do as much as humanly possible to help find a cure, and to better
educate those whom do not understand this disease! THANK YOU!!

Lots of valuable information. Thanks so much. Having just met Dr.
Schwartz at the RSDSA Conference in Atlantic City, I know that he is
top notch in the field of RSD. He has immence knowledge of the
disease and from my observations, is a great communicator. He also
has great qualities that many doctors are missing....such as empathy,
feelings, understanding, a willingness to help and to listen, and the
ability to convey this to those of us who have this disease. Thanks Dr.

you know of anyone with RSD living in our part of the country please
put them in touch with us, we would be happy to have them as part of
