              ANNOUNCEMENTS
AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM GOVERNOR MIKE
POPOLIZIO: It is my pleasure to announce that the
Nominating Committee has interviewed the two nominated
candidates and has selected William Nathan of the Albany club
to be our District Governor for the 2011-2012 Rotary year. I have
personally witnessed Bill’s dedication and commitment to the
principles of Rotary and
I am certain that he will work diligently to help all the clubs in
our district prosper. I ask that all the clubs be as supportive of
John Eaton, Dan Stec and Bill Nathan’s years as governor as
they have during my year........ Thanks again for your support
and please congratulate Bill at your first opportunity.

LET’S RAISE LOTS OF MONEY AND HELP WIPE OUT
POLIO: District Governor-elect John Eaton has set up a project
with Schwan’s Food to help raise money for Polio Plus that
requires a little people power - The concept is fairly simple - We
pick a day and location for our fundraising day - Schwan’s
sends a truck, or multiple trucks to the location on the
designated day - people make purchases from the truck - Based
on the total sales from the truck that day Schwan’s will donate a
percentage to The Rotary Foundation - In turn, based on
presales - the clubs participating will receive foundation points

ROTARY QUICK QUOTES: “Who would be
interested in a garden containing flowers of one species or
one color only? Variety has been truly said to be the spice of
life. Sameness is monotonous, depressing.”
