Glide’s mission is to break the cycles of multigenerational dependency, poverty, and low self-worth by providing a spiritual home of unconditional love. Glide strives to create a healthy community by offering effective services that foster holistic healing in an environment of cultural integrity and diversity. Our partnership with USF and service-learning students is an extension of this mission. We offer servicelearning students orientation and reflection opportunities along with direct-service experience. In return, we expect students to be willing and able to participate in ways that encourage and further Glide’s mission. By signing the following document, you agree to participate in our work to the best of your ability, and to . In exchange, Glide staff (i.e. the Service Learning coordinators) will work with you to provide orientations, instructions, and support during your service-learning project. Students may be asked to participate in on-site learning opportunities, including but not limited to meetings with staff, reading articles and studies, participation in group debrief, and attending orientation sessions. Depending on the service learning class and skills of the student, specialized projects may arise.
