TERMS OF REFERENCE
North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve publicity leaflet
I. PROJECT BACKGROUND:
The Global Environment Foundation and the United Nation Development Programme are
sponsoring a five-year project “Biodiversity Protection in the North Vidzeme Biosphere
Reserve (NVBR)” focusing on improving biodiversity protection policy and increase of
community involvement and support.
II. DESCRIPTION OF PUBLIC AWARENESS OUTPUT
Purpose: Creating a communications programme through which the NVBR will inform and
interact with local communities, inhabitants, education and cultural institutions, local
governments to develop and enhance bio diversity conservation, economical and cultural

Design and print brochure “North Vidzeme Biosphere reserve” in Latvian and English
- 2000 editions in each language. Total amount 4000
- NVBR map with marked nature trails, administrative borders, main objects and
Estonia Nigula reserve
- Size 600x 210 mm
- Colours 4+4
- Munken Print or Pure 150
- Translation in English
- Final editing
- Final treatment
Supplier should provide final edition of texts and draft proof print for approval.
Supplier will provide full colours proof print for final approval.
Printed brochures should be delivered to Salacgrīva, Rīgas iela 10.
Client will provide necessary photos for design.
The Supplier is responsible to the Communication work group leader.
The Supplier will be responsible to design and print brochure “North Vidzeme Biosphere
Supplier should have at least 3 years experience in designing of printed materials, and
submit at least three examples. Experience in design and print materials in nature field
will be an advantage.
All cartography materials should be legal.
VII. DURATION AND PLACE OF WORK
The contract will be for one month.
VII SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
Proposals should be submitted to project “Biodiversity protection in North Vidzeme Biosfere
reserve” in Latvian language with offered price in Lats (LVL). Supplier should indicate
offered price and VAT separately.
