If your vehicle is registered in any state other than Nebraska or any Nebraska county other than
Douglas, you will need to purchase a $5.00 wheel tax exemption sticker from the Douglas
County Treasurer’s Office (DMV).

Students at Creighton University School of Medicine are enrolled full-time. Take the following
with you to the Treasurer’s Office/DMV to get your exemption sticker:

Class Schedule (print it off NEST, don’t use the one copied on colored paper you get in
      your mailbox)
      Student ID
      Car Registration
      Proof of Insurance
      Driver’s License

The sticker is only valid for as long as the plates are valid. When the license plates are renewed
during the year, take the new registration and the other four items on the above list to the DMV
and buy a new sticker. Remember to get a new sticker every time your car registration is
renewed.

A wheel tax exemption sticker costs $5.00.
