Project Description: Students will research various careers and write a paper
describing the career of his/her choice.

Instructions and Parameters: Using Oklahoma Career Information System website,
students will take a career assessment. Based on the assessment, students will write a
report about the career in which they are interested in learning more about. Specific
instructions are included and may be copied for distribution.
This is an individual project; each student will write his/her own individual career report.
Assessment: Student’s reports will be assessed using the attached rubric.

OKLAHOMA CAREER INFORMATION REPORT
Write about the results of the 128 questionnaire in the Ideas Assessment Survey you took
in this section. Include information about the occupations listed as “high interest”, “medium
interest”, and “low interest” areas.
Using the “Occupations” section, choose an occupation that interests you and write about
it. Examples of information to include are description of the occupation, educational
requirements, working conditions, salary and wages, duties and responsibilities, etc.
Using the Oklahoma Schools or the U.S. Colleges and Universities sections, write about a
college or university in which you are interested. Include information about the college such as
costs/financial aid information, location, admissions requirements, majors offered, sports offered,

Using the Financial Aid section, write about one scholarship or other type of financial
aid. Examples of information to include are age requirements, scholarship sponsor, GPA
required, SAT/ACT test scores required, scholarship amount, what is required to keep the

Margins, Font Type and Font Size
Use Microsoft Word to type your report.
Use one inch margins on the top, bottom and sides.
Use Times New Roman font; size 12.
To right align your heading
Click on the align right icon on your formatting toolbar; type each line
After typing the last line, click on the align right icon to turn it off.
After the last line of the heading, press enter three times and type your heading
Turn on Caps Lock button before typing your heading.
Click the Bold icon to bold your heading.
Press enter three times after typing the heading.
Click the bold and underline icons to bold and underline your side headings
Press enter two times after typing the side heading.
Do not put a page number on page one.
Right align the page number in the top right of the page.
To indent and to double space the paragraphs
Press tab once to indent paragraphs.
Select the typed paragraph.
Go to format, paragraph, change line spacing to double.
Do not include any color or any pictures in your report.
