Assignment
Students create a memory book from the school year that’s about to end.

Objectives
Students will…
•    create a format for the memory book pages they will make.
•    create pages about important memories of the year IN SPANISH.
•    put the pages together in a memory book.
•    design a cover for the memory book.

Lesson Plan
In this activity, each student will create a memory book in Spanish. Ask students to record vivid memories from the school year on the pages.
•      Memory Book entries:

•      the best book I read
•      the most challenging lesson
•      advice for next year's ___-grade students
•      the career I want to pursue
•      something I wish I could do over again
•      a skill I learned that will serve me well in the future

Extension Activities
•    Stage a cover-design contest. Ask students to share their designs and have them vote for the best design.

•Materials needed: Shoebox, markers/color pencils,
white paper (butcher roll), Items that person liked
(perfume, foods, music), Pictures
Instructions:
1. Choose a person that has passed away (a relative,
famous person, etc.)
2. Write a 10 sentence biography IN SPANISH
describing the person’s life
3. Wrap your shoebox with construction paper and
decorate
4. Each student will present by giving the name of their
person and the biography in Spanish.
