  President of the United States … women make up half the CEOs of Fortune 500
   companies … women appear often in the news media and as experts in print.

Would you like to be part of the team that works 24/7 to make this vision a reality?

The White House Project is seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals for
internships in our Michigan Field Office, located in Grand Rapids. Ideal candidates
will have some experience in public relations, event planning, research, organizing,
materials development and/or database management. Strong written and oral
communication skills are required. We are looking for individuals with an interest in
women’s issues, civic engagement and politics.

Interns are an integral part of the work accomplished at The White House Project.
We strive to ensure that both the organization and the intern have a mutually
beneficial experience.

General Description:
• Assist Michigan Field Office with ongoing research and specific research projects.
• Writing opportunities in public relations, research projects, and media outreach.
• Local and statewide outreach to individuals and organizations.
• Create camaraderie and foster leadership within the internship program.
• Support Michigan Field Office in event planning and organizing.

General Requirements:
• A strong interest in The White House Project’s efforts to promote women’s
  leadership and ensure gender parity in all sectors.
• Strong research, writing and speaking skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Initiative.
• Ability to follow-through on all assigned tasks and pay attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Internet; database familiarity a plus but not
