Hi All, just a friendly reminder for all members to email our Publicity Officer Sharon Lindner as the closing date for submissions to the Action is getting close (21st of October) and we need your comments and news!! Sharon may be contacted at: kbunny5@bigpond.com Some examples of things of interest would be:*New Purchases into the state *Any huge wins from a tassie welsh or member interstate *New studs or members in tassie *Up and coming event in tassie *Anything of interest to the welsh enthusiast Don't forget no matter how small your stud is, or even if you are just a member you still have a voice and if you don't tell us we don't know!!!!!! As Members you all have a right to know what is happening in your state, you also have a right to have your say and also to be involved, so please feel free to contact any of the new committee with any questions or even if you wish to help or just have an idea! As your president I am very open to all ideas and promise to be honest! I would like to see the whole state come together and be more enthusiastic in the promotion of our welsh ponies! At the end of the day we have them because we are hooked on the breed and I believe we are here to promote the breed. So please help by getting involved! Let us know about yourself and your ponies. I would like to mention a special thanks to our new secretary for being so efficient, she is keen so we need to assist her and keep her that way! The new committee is devoted to making the 2009 Tasmanian All Welsh Show the biggest and best Tasmania has ever seen! We are seeking sponsorship for this show and are pleased to announce our sponsors that we have on board so far are Prydes Easi Feed, Supreme Horseware, Mirror Image Sculptures and Hazel Bros. We would like to thank them all very much for their generous support. The show will be held at Royal Hobart Showgrounds on SUNDAY the 18th of January 2009.

We are in the process of organising: International Judges; Remco Dobber from Holland and Danny Daelemans from Belgium. Lorelle Mercer (one of Horse Shows Magazines leading photographers) Local News Paper to cover the show. We have put in a submission to the WPCS for TWO welsh medals for this show – one to go to Supreme In hand Pure & one for Supreme In hand Part Bred. Securing more sponsorship – if you are interested or know someone who might be please contact Karen Bailey (secretary). We are also hoping to run our All Welsh show along with the Inaugural Ridden Native Pony Championship (great ridden classes winners will qualify for bigger events on the mainland) Organising the two foal futurities - 2008 & 2009. As you can see we have been busy!
As yet not many members have taken up the FREE stud listing on our Tassie Welsh RPG site, take the time to have a look and contact us for advertising after all it is your site!!
If you are a stud and you don't have a website let me know and we can organise a stud page to put on the site! We also have a foal page so you can submit your 08/09 foals for free, it is a great way to keep up to date with foals that have been born in our state this season! If you have any ideas, information etc for the site we would love to hear from you!

Members News!
Ellenbank Stud is excited to announce TWO new editions to the stud! We would like to thank Llangollen Stud for allowing us to purchase Cherrytree Mandarin – we know he will forever hold a special spot in their hearts. We are also excited to announce the purchase of Karanga Tiger Lilly from Nawarrah Park (Vic). Karanga Tiger Lilly will be bred to Cherrytree Mandarin this season along with our 3 other mares. Ellenbank Stud are very pleased with the results from the 2008 Online Foal Show run by Warrumbungle Sub Branch with Ellenbank Treasure placing 4 th in the Top Five foals of the show out of 360 foals. Ellenbank Treasure also won her Welsh A female class with Ellenbank Archer winning the Welsh A male class and Ellenbank Tango Tom coming second place to him. Photos of them all can be viewed in the Horse Shows Magazine (Nov issue). Ellenbank Archer is now safe and sound in his new home at Emerald Coad Stud in NSW. He has been out to two shows and come home with 2 firsts, one second and a Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Pony. We are very excited to see his progeny in the coming years! Ellenbank have three foals due this season. Llangollen Tiger Lilly, Llangollen Arabella and Chrystal Haze Abbey are all due to Cherrytree Mandarin. Llangollen Stud are pleased to announce purchase of Woranora Madonna (Menai Silver Sands (Imp) x Loch Sloy Morfydd) from Greg Egan of NSW. Madonna is a half sister to Robert & Megan's outstanding mare "Woranora Ritana", she is sure to be an asset to their stud with her stunning colour, exceptional movement and outstanding temperament, she will be covered this season by Cherrytree Mandarin.
