Introduction The South Ward Creek Ben property, tenure # 549935, a one cell claim, comprising 20.29 hectares, was acquired from its former owner on January 20, 2008, to investigate the bentonite potential and prospect for gold mineralization.
Topographic relief over the tenure ranges from 1,050 m on the southwestern portion of the property, to 980 m along eastern and northeastern sector. The area would be considered semi-arid, receiving an annual average of 76 days of precipitation, comprised of 90 mm of rainfall over 29 days, per annum, and 77 cm of snowfall over 48 days, of equivalent time frame. The property is conducive to prospecting for about seven months out of the year, generally commencing in mid April. Location & Access The South Ward Creek Ben claim is centrally located at coordinate 122° 04’ 46.1” W Longitude, 51° 06’ 37.0” N Latitude, approximately 37.5 kilometres (by air) west of Clinton and 40.5 (by air) kilometres north-northwest of Lillooet, BC. Access to the property is gained via the West Pavilion Road, commencing immediately west of the bridge crossing Bridge River proper, northwest of Lillooet, on the Bridge River Road. Said West Pavilion Road, fundamentally parallels the Fraser River as it strikes northward toward Mooney’s Ranch and the Big Bar area. The claim was accessed from the west, via a rough road which cuts the central portion of the property. In alternative, the claim may also be accessed via helicopter commute, from Lillooet. History The general area and that of the Mooney Ranch had received exploration during the late 1980’s, which resulted in identifying several occurrences of volcanic glass, bentonite and zeolite. Varied Minfile Reports for the area describe these showings Geology Minfile Report 092O 102, refers to showing of bentonite in the southwest corner of the property, which occurs in the core of a northerly tending anticline, where maroon and brown weathering, fine volcanic breccia, rhyolite tuff and bentonite-rich lenses up to 1.5 metre thick are exposed.

Summary On May 18, 2008, reconnaissance prospecting was conducted in the southwestern portion of the claim, along the traverse shown by red line-marking on Map 2, hereto attached. The claim was entered from its southwest corner. Two small bentonite rock samples were taken from the immediate area of the Minfile Report, and two further samples were collected from slightly to the northwest, at the locations indicated on Map 2, by asterisks. In that all four specimens were collected from surface exposures and each comprised similar red-brown bentonite mineralization, it was felt lab analysis was not necessary. No prospecting was conducted for gold, during this fiscal. Conclusion It was felt further prospecting on the property was warranted, therefore, the property was renewed for a subsequent term.
