Les importations d’équipements industriels, principal indicateur des investissements
du secteur industriel, se sont élevées à 187,9 millions de dollars en 2008, en hausse
de 15,6 % par rapport à 2007 et de 44,7 % par rapport à 2006. Selon le ministère de
l’Industrie, l’Italie a été le principal fournisseur de ces équipements, les importations
en provenance de ce pays ayant atteint 45,5 millions de dollars, soit 24,2 % du total.
L’Allemagne vient en seconde place avec une part de 21,4 % (40,2 millions de dollars),
suivie par la Chine avec une part de 15,9 % (29,9 millions de dollars), les États-Unis
avec une part de 5,9 % (11,1 millions) et la Turquie dont la part a représenté 4,3 % du
total (8,2 millions de dollars).

Selon les chiffres publiés par le ministère de l’Industrie, les exportations industrielles
se sont élevées en 2008 à environ trois milliards de dollars, en hausse de 30 % par
rapport à 2007. Ces exportations ont représenté 86 % du total des exportations
libanaises. Les exportations de machines se sont taillées la part du lion, soit 18 %,
suivies par celles des produits métallurgiques (17,7 %) et celles des produits
chimiques (14,5 %).

                                         AUST International Cup 2009




Nine universities and around 800 students participated in the AUST International Cup 2009 tournaments in Football, Futsal (Male/Female), Basketball (Male/Female), Volleyball
(Male/Female), Chess (Single/Team), and extended from May 1st till May 5th, 2009.

AUST, AUB, NDU, USJ, LIU, BAU, Haigazian from Lebanon, JUST from Jordan and
AUD from U.A.E

Opening Ceremony:
Under the patronage of Judge Nasri Lahoud, President of the F.S.U.L, a ceremony was held, announcing the opening of the tournaments. Hip Hop, Folklore, and crazy dunkers
shows were held during the ceremony. At the end, the tournament flame was lit, announcing the beginning of the tournament.
