You. In closing I would like to thank everyone who stepped up to the plate to make this last fraternal

year a success. Vivat Jesus Ed Hau GK

A Message from Your Faithful Navigator

Worthy Sir Knights: , as your delegate to The Knights of Columbus State Convention held in Cedar Rapids this past

month I would like to report to you a tragedy. The delegation from Dyersville presented a resolution to make the general

public more aware of the Supreme Courts decision on Roe vs. Wade. After one half day of discussion it was adopted for

vote. The next day The State Family spoke against the resolution and a majority of delegates voted not to adopt it. The

tragedy….? At this convention we finally had a chance to do something but, we did nothing. Fifty million innocent babies'

lives have already been lost to abortion. Why isn't there something we can do to make more people aware of these

atrocities?

Faithful Navigator,Lee Voelschow

We Did it Again!

This year at the Knights of Columbus State Convention in Cedar Rapids we received a plaque for the best bulletin in the

nd

state! This is the 2 year in a row that we have received this award. A lot of work goes into putting the bulletin together

each month and I want to thank everyone for helping me do this by getting their articles to me, sending me the updates

and keeping me informed so I can in turn keep everyone else informed. A special thanks to my wife Wendy for her

“behind the scenes” help and to Tom and MaryKay Westemeier for all the time they put into getting the labels attached

to each bulletin and making the monthly trip to the post office.

Bruce Sweeney

A Message from your Editor

We had a few problems with our email last month and lost some of your addresses. If you know of someone who is not

receiving their bulletin, or has changed their email in the last year, please contact me so I can update the email address

book. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our new Saturday opening hour is 11:00am. If you are a pepper player there is always a game being played weekdays

after 2:00pm. Come down and enjoy our happy hour drink specials from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

Have you noticed a change in the look of our bulletin? Due new postal regulations we had to change the back page

around. So now look for the monthly calendar on page 3 and advertisements on the back cover.
