					                                  Welcome Packet – Pancreatic Protocol

Welcome to the Pancreatic Protocol Eating Plan!
Diet-Health Goodies: Don't forget to buy the Redmond's RealSalt or Himalayan Crystal pinkish
seasalt at the health food store. If you need portable dressings to let you stay legal with zero
fat/carb/sugar, you can visit www.waldenfarms.com. A major tool for mixing the foods (with cold
water always, and never boil the proteins) is a cup blender like Magic Bullet, often available from
stores like Target. The process is a blink of an eye in a lifetime, so if you need tools like this to get
you through, that is your choice. Long term, we encourage the use of all natural and organic
products, including the pinkish seasalt.

The Pancreatic protocol – Simple & Easy

The Pancreatic protocol allows you to lose weight with little effort while setting goals and eating a variety of
convenient Pancreatic protocol instant packets in combination with regular meals.
The Pancreatic protocol is a weight loss “treatment” designed to promote proper pancreatic function and help
you sustain permanent weight loss. Lose weight quickly and safely by following the Accelerated Plan:
Accelerated Plan, Step 1 (80% of goal weight):
BREAKFAST 1 Pancreatic protocol packet
LUNCH 1 Pancreatic protocol packet with unlimited vegetables.*
DINNER 7 oz (200 g) of fish/seafood/chicken or 5 oz (150 g) of lean meat with unlimited vegetables.*
SNACK (MANDATORY) • 1 Pancreatic protocol packet between 8 pm and 10 pm or between two other
meals.
Consult your accountability partner for important supplementation. Sea salt with meals. Minimum 8
glasses water per day. Choose zero or one of higher carb meals per day: pancakes, oatmeal,
   cakes, chili, bar (1-2 times/week).

THE RECOMMENDED FOOD LIST (see website for current list, scrolling down to this topic):
The Recommended Protein List
1 protein isolate food or other protein sources
Animal source:7 oz of poultry, fish and seafood or 5 oz of lean meats.
Lean cuts of beef, veal, pork and lamb: filet, flank, lean ground, sirloin, tenderloin, roast, round, rump
Giblets (poultry) and offal (beef, pork, etc.): heart, liver, sweetbreads, kidneys, etc.
Poultry: skinless chicken, turkey, quails, wild birds
Fish: bass, brill, cod, devil fish, gudgeon (blob), haddock, hake, halibut, perch, pike, ray, salmon, shark, smelt,
red snapper, sole, swordfish, trout, tuna, turbot, whiting
Seafood: clams, crab, lobster, mussels, oysters, scallops, scampi, shrimp, squid, etc.

Stage 4 only Protein Variations
Plant source: 1 ½ cups of beans, 2 cups of tofu, etc.
Beans: Red kidney, lima, lentils, broad, chick peas, etc.

Select Vegetables List
Unlimited: alfafa sprouts, bok/pak choy, celery, cucumber, daikon, fennel, salad (all varieties), radish, seaweed,
soy bean sprouts, spinach.
One portion per meal (up to 2 cups): asparagus, beet greens, broccoli, cabbage (collard greens, nappa, red,
savoy), cauliflower, celeriac, fiddle heads, garlic, leeks, mushrooms, raw onions and shallots, Swiss chard,
green peppers, turnip, zucchini.
Once or twice a week: 1/2 avocado, brussels sprouts, eggplant, 2-3 hearts of palm, orange and red peppers,
sauerkraut, snow peas, string beans (yellow and green), tomatoes and squash (summer).
Raw is best, from a nutritional standpoint, with its pure enzymes, but you can also steam, roast, braise, boil or
sauté them very lightly in a non-stick pan or in a little drizzle of olive oil. You can also braise your food in the
oven at 420 degrees F (205o C) for a few minutes, just until they begin to caramelize. Then, serve them with a
little sprinkle of sea salt and crushed pepper and a splash of fresh lime or lemon. You can also jazz up your oil
with hot chili peppers, cumin, curry, rosemary, ginger, fresh lemongrass. Discover the joys of simple cooking.
Note: The vegetables at lunch and supper are not optional. The lean cuts of meat, poultry, fish or seafood,
when indicated, are not optional either. The Pancreatic protocol has been calibrated with specific foods and
nutrients at specific times throughout the day to produce specific results in the body. Follow it faithfully and
you’ll see quick results. Don’t let sugared gum, condiments and commercial salad dressings spoil your efforts.

Seasonings
There are endless possibilities to vary the taste of your foods. Sea salt, pepper, garlic, fresh or dried ginger,
zest of lemon or lime, your favorite spices, fresh or dried herbs, chili peppers, curry, curcuma, hot mustard or
hot mustard powder, wasabi powder, even soy or tamarind sauce, sparingly. You can vary the taste of your
Pancreatic protocol puddings with cinnamon, nutmeg, a drop of rose water, fresh ginger, unsweetened coco
powder, and again, the list goes on and on. Be cautious of commercial condiments with hidden sugar content.

                                         Welcome Packet – Pancreatic Protocol
                                                  Follow the Plan:
      1. Set Goal, Log Stats, Commit: Set a goal and baseline measurements using the progress chart & “before”
photo and commit to yourself and your accountability partner that you will achieve it. Envision how happy you
                                                              st
will be when that happens. Be prepared that the 1 3 days could be rough withdrawing from carbs and sugar.
Hang in there, be determined & consult your start-up guide/health care provider/accountability partner. If
problems after the 1st week, consult your health care provider and possibly your accountability partner.
      2. Fill out Wellness Profile: Verbally or in writing communicate allergies, health issues to your health care
provider and also your accountability partner. All protocolers are encouraged to consult with their health care
professional before starting any eating plan.
      3. Select Supplements: Work with your health care provider and accountability partner to assess needs (tonic
with antioxidants, multi-vitamin including calcium/magnesium, omega 3-6-9, enzymes, probiotics, fiber without
carbs or sugar). Mandatory on steps 1-3. Consider the complete “plus” pack which also has enzymes, &
probiotics. The packs offer free bottle of tonic and $10 off the price.
      4. Select Food: Pick which 12-13 boxes you want, knowing you will not be eating more than one of the starch
foods in 1 day (1st 6 of the 15 foods listed below (*), some avoid these for the first month):
 *caramel peanut bar (most people like, one of highest carb foods – some say taste like Snicker bar)
 *maple oatmeal (most people like, one of highest carb foods – regular or unsweet)
 *chocolate cake/pancake (may be used as cake or in recipes – popular ever since reformulated)
 *vegetable chili (I prefer only 4.5 oz water, not 6, no boiling, simmer 12 minutes rather than 5-10)
 cocoa drink (most popular so far, may be used hot or cold)
 peach mango drink (popular plain, blended with ice, or Popsicles – regular or unsweet)
 cappuccino drink (popular hot or cold)
 yogurt and fieldberry drink (popular as drink or yogurt with less water – borderline as high-carb)
 *raspberry gelatin (most like, some mix with vanilla shake to make smoothy - 2 meals)
 chicken soup (may add unlimited veggies from list, even suitable for vegetarians)
 vanilla pudding/shake (very popular and may be flavored such as pumpkin pie spice & cinnamon)
 leek soup (a favorite of many, hot or cold vichysous, may add unlimited veggies from list)
 chocolate pudding (popular, some add extra stevia sweetener – regular or unsweet options)
 flatbread pancake (can bake, cut pouch & insert veggies)
 crispy rice cereal (mix with cold water, whisk to turn white powder into skim-like milk – drink all of it)
 butterscotch pudding/shake (popular with those who like butterscotch flavor, one puts pumpkin
           flavoring)
      5. Order: Place the initial order with your accountability partner or the person that referred you to this program.
Supplies should arrive in 5-7 business days.
      6. Purchase if Needed (from health food store)
o Sea salt, high quality that appears pink or multi-color with electrolytes & minerals (e.g. Himalayan Crystal
pink seasalt or Redmonds Real Salt). Used in soups, salads, veggies to avoid dehydration & provide
electrolytes with this diet very low in sodium.
o Extra virgin olive oil that can be used for slowly cooking meats/seafood, salads, veggies. If desired,
vinegar with no carb, sugar, and fat such as brown rice vinegar, some apple cider vinegars, white vinegar.
o Olive oil non-stick spray all natural if you use non-stick pans for pancakes.
o Syrup with no carb, sugar, fat if you care for this and satisfied with the sweetener. www.waldenfarms.com
o Recipe ingredients if you’re into them: vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, slivered
almonds steps 3 and 4, rolled oats steps 3 and 4. Recipes available.
      7. Learn all you can on the website and from your accountability partner.
      8. Execute step 1 of the diet for the first 80% of your goal, weighing/measuring/recording on the progress chart
1/week, consulting your health care provider and possibly your accountability partner with questions or
concerns. Be tough if you have to experience withdrawals and remember the start-up guide helps with
suggestions. Consider using the recipes and ask your accountability partner if you want to trade foods. Ask
about monthly specials. Use the daily log & keep your accountability partner posted.
      9. Consult with accountability partner as you enter steps 2, 3, and 4 plus 2 weeks of strict execution of step 4.
      10. Log final weight/measurement and report results to your accountability partner with an “after” picture if you are
          willing.
11. Congratulate yourself on newfound health, longevity, and emotional highs. Ask how you can share this
breakthrough with others, with potentially huge rewards for them and you.

  • A recommendation: consider adding digestive enzymes and probiotics to daily regimen, especially if early problem. ANYONE
WITH A MEDICAL CONDITION OR PRESCRIPTION DRUG IS URGED TO CONSULT WITH THEIR HEALTH CARE
PROFESSIONAL (E.G. DOCTOR). Any questions or concerns, consult your health care professional and/or your accountability
partner, but you make the final decision. You are responsible for your health.

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. One should use sea salt on all meals applicable, as the Diet is low in sodium. (avoid dehydration, etc.)
2. One should drink minimum 8 glasses of water daily (8 oz/250 ml each), preferably one’s weight in pounds divided by 2 for
number of ounces per day as a minimum.
3. If hunger or cravings are present, one can eat additional Pancreatic protocol packets up to a maximum of 5 per day at first
and unlimited vegetables and salad from the list. If cravings and/or fatigue persist after first week, you may consult your
     accountability partner.
4. The program requires not consuming more than one of the 3 following Pancreatic protocol packets in the same day to allow
resting the pancreas and maximizing weight loss –bars, chili, pancakes, cakes and oatmeal.
5. Consult the Recommended Food List below and also contained in the training manual and brochure.
6. Follow the diet strictly, since a small amount of carbs or sugar can prevent the pancreas from resting.
7. Execute all 4 steps in the diet to allow retraining of the pancreas for desired results during maintenance.
8. If you can, work with a weight loss accountability partner for optimum results and speed in achieving full desired results. Keep
them posted on how you’re doing, especially in the first week or two. Stay encouraged, persevere, succeed.

                                        Start-Up Guide (page 2 of 3)
TIPS:
 Cheating: If anyone cheats, let it be with a protein, since that will not store as fat. If people are still
                                                                     th th
hungry with the plan, especially at first, they may eat a 4 or 5 protein isolate food, as long as they
don’t eat more than 1 starchy one/day (i.e. oatmeal, pancake, chili, chocolate cake, bar).
 Exercise: If a person does strenuous exercise, Olivier suggests cutting it in half for steps 1 and 2
and eating the higher carb food before the exercise and if needed, another protein or non-starchy
        isolate food right after.
 Shaker Cups, Lumps, Foam: For puddings, the shaker cup may be used instead of a whisk or
spoon in a bowl. To avoid lumps in soup, either shaker cup with cold water before heating, or use a
deep bowl and beat hard with a fork like beating an egg, whether soup is hot or cold. For lumps in
the drinks or shakes, if shaking vigorously in the shaker cup doesn’t dissolve them all, a small hand-
held blender could be used. To avoid foam in the peach mango drink, you may hold the cup
sideways to shake it, making sure the lid is held tightly on. Or, shake normal upright way and sit for a
couple of minutes for the foam to settle or blend with ice.
 Choose texture you want for the cakes - Just add one packet into 35 ml – 60 ml (1 oz. – 2 oz.) of
cold water (depending on the texture you desire). Mix until completely dissolved and bake in oven at
            o
350 F for 10 minutes or microwave for 30 seconds. For better results, cook the cake in the oven.
 Cocoa drink hot or cold - Just add one packet into 8 oz. of very hot water (not boiling) or cold water.
If you prefer it hot, do not shake the drink in a shaker as the hot water may spill on you. Simply stir
        the drink with a fork.
 Have puddings on hand - It is a good idea to have some pudding pre-prepared. It can last up to 3
days when it is sealed and in the fridge. You can use it as stuffing in a rolled up Orange Pancake or
as icing on the Chocolate Cake or muffins that you make. It’s a healthy and delicious topping and
remember that protein will never transform into fat.
 To help alleviate cravings and hunger, drink a large glass of water or consume a Pancreatic
protocol instant packet. It is very important that you do not skip any meals and also remember
your evening Pancreatic protocol instant packet. Strict adherence to the plan will manage hunger
symptoms in a few days and spare the muscle from being spent for energy.
 Never let yourself go hungry. If you do, you’ll reach for something that is unhealthy and makes you
        gain weight.
 When you get bored, do something about it! Go for a walk with family or friends. When you’re bored
        you tend to eat more.
 When you get bored do something about it! Go for a walk with family or friends. When you’re bored
        you tend to eat more!
 Set reasonable weight loss goals and stick to them. When you start reaching your goals, you'll see
that the Pancreatic protocol works. This will help you reach the next level. It will pay off once you
have reached your total weight loss goal. You will feel confident, look and feel healthier and be glad
you did not waiver from your goals! You will experience quick results and surprise yourself!
 Learn to “Just say no!” When tempted with unhealthy food, you should be firm and confident and politely
decline. It will get easier once you see the benefits of sticking to the diet plan!
 Take a before picture and put it on your fridge. This will help motivate you and you will think twice
when you reach for the ice cream.

   ===============================================================================
Pancreatic protocol 6 Point Withdrawal Period (originally provided by vendor)
You may experience some of the “withdrawal symptoms” listed below. This sheet will help you recognize and
understand the symptoms that may occur. Fill in the wellness profile and discuss with your accountability
partner. Those needing help with lactose, may use the pack-supplied enzyme with lactase, favor the soups,
watch the cocoa. Those avoiding wheat may not choose oatmeal, pancake, or the cakes.

Some “pearls of wisdom”:
 As an adult, you are solely responsible for your own health and weight.
 Body, mind & spirit all affect your physical & emotional health: holistic, whole person approach.
 Consulting a knowledgeable accountability partner can be highly valuable in achieving optimum
      results quickly and optimistically.
 If you have problems initially, this could be a HUGE benefit, because you may discover and resolve
a crucial issue, such as impaired digestion or toxicity, without it going unchecked.
                             Welcome Packet – Pancreatic Protocol
6 Possible Withdrawal Symptoms:
   1. Hunger: If you feel hungry at any time during the Pancreatic protocol, you can eat additional
Pancreatic protocol packets as a snack or during meals up to a maximum of 5 per day. After 3
days, the hunger should disappear due to the production of “ketonic bodies”. Also you need to
increase the amount of water you are drinking, confirm you are chewing foods thoroughly, and
consider eating more unlimited vegetables from the list. Dehydration may well be the cause of
          hunger and also fatigue.
   2. Bad breath: Having bad breath might be a good sign, but experts say that even though we burn
fat with ketosis, this process is so clean and alkalizing, that it does not put the person into
ketoacidosis. Normally bad breath can occur when the body goes into “ketosis”, and produces
“ketonic bodies”. This means that the body has exhausted its carbohydrates supply and is
burning fat reserves to produce energy and burn calories from fat. As you progress through the 4
steps of the diet to retrain the pancreas and move to maintenance where you are not required to
eat the packet food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, any possible bad breath should disappear if
there are no other causes such as dental problems or hygiene.
   3. Constipation: Per the company, if you are constipated for more than 2 days, add more water
and vegetables from the list (providing fiber and water content) to your daily intake. With a
minimum of 8 glasses of pure water per day, try for dividing number of pounds you weigh in half
and drinking that many ounces of water per day minimum. The company encourages to try and
walk after your meals and to double up on your Calcium/Magnesium and double your tonic, both
of which stimulate the bowels to move, with the tonic also acting as a detoxifier. The probiotics
is an excellent aid. Local health food stores might have their own recommendation such as extra
magnesium which softens or powdered vitamin C – one may contact the expert in their local
health food store. Getting your colon cleaned by a colon hydrotherapist can be a major beneifit
often health food stores know how to locate a good colon hydrotherapist in your area. A separate
natural stool softener or laxative may be considered as a last resort according to the company.
Ask your accountability partner about a gentle, nourishing and detoxifying tune-up type process
          that may help.
   4. Irregular weight loss: Review your daily log (usually comes with the welcome email) to see
where your “problem” days occurred. Verify strictness including salad dressing being legal, as
well as intake of water, vegetables on the list, and high quality sea salt. Also, pre- or post-
menopausal women or women with normal menstrual cycles will experience water retention that
will mask the weight loss for approximately one week each month. The following week, you
should be back on track if this was your issue. One might consult their accountability partner to
consider levels of digestive capability and probiotics, as well as possible yeast overgrowth. Ask
your accountability partner about a gentle, nourishing and detoxifying cleanse that may help.
           Plateau:
 If a person hits a plateau and has lost at a faster rate than 3 lbs/week for women or 5
lbs/week for men, the body may be catching up and using the protein to reshape the body,
possibly for up to 14 days of adjustment.
 If the dieter has not kept the log provided, encourage them to do so and ask them verbally
about their intake of food, water, supplements, and high quality, pinkish/grayish seasalt.
              Make sure the dieter is
following the program strictly with water, seasalt, vegetables at least twice per day, not
skipping meals, not eating more than 1 starchy protein isolate food per day, not eating extra
carbs, fat, sugar in something innocent like salad dressings or healthy “drinks” or tonics they
continued to take after starting the diet.
 Make sure the dieter is strict on foods, avoiding dressings with carb/fat/sugar, more than 2
teaspoon olive oil/day, yellow or red peppers, yellow beans, avocado or salmon at most
              1/week, etc.
 Make sure the dieter is following the diet strictly with high quality pinkish seasalt with meals
(e.g. Redmond’s RealSalt), 8 glasses water minimum to preferably number of ounces/day
equal to half weight in lbs 200 lbs = 100 oz = 12.5 glasses/day, only foods from food and
              seasoning lists.
 Ensure the dieter is not taking a greens supplement or protein supplement or tonic that has
appreciable carbs, sugar, or fat, since these are all burned before stored fat and the
carbs/sugar may prevent the pancreas from resting.

 Verify that the dieter is sufficiently supplementing (e.g. tonic, calcium/magnesium, multi-
vitamins, omega fats, enzymes, probiotics, fiber if needed, and gentle cleanse or “tune-up”
usually within the first 2-4 weeks of the plan (ask accountability partner for
         recommendations).
 Encourage the dieter to hang in there and watch for changes in how the clothes fit, muscle
and cellulite look, energy and craving levels, number and size of bowel movements per day.

5. Nausea and/or muscle cramps: These are signs of lack of sodium and potassium. Remember
to always take supplements as directed and take the high quality sea salt that appears pinkish
with meals. Review your list of supplements and amounts with your accountability partner.
Muscle cramps, twitching, constipation, and pH imbalance are all triggers to think about both the
Liquid Calcium & Magnesium plus the alkalizing detoxifying tonic. Nausea might also occur in
the first 3-5 days if the body is detoxifying too quickly, in which case one might add considerably
more water and work up more gradually on the amount of tonic per morning and night. The
accountability partner may be aware of a gentle, nourishing and detoxifying cleanse that may
     help.
6. Headaches: Headaches not normally experienced are often a sign of dehydration. One might
increase their water intake and ensure they are getting the high quality sea salt to avoid
dehydration, since the diet is low in sodium. Headaches might also occur in the first 3-5 days if
the body is detoxifying too quickly, in which case one might add considerably more water and
work up more gradually on the amount of tonic per morning and night. The accountability partner
may be aware of a gentle, nourishing and detoxifying cleanse that may help.
