June 2009
We celebrate Father’s Day this month on Sunday the 21st. This holiday was first celebrated in 1908. One of the first supporters of Father’s Day was Mrs. Bruce John Dodd who wanted to honor her father, a Civil War veteran who had raised his six young children on his own after his wife died. Thank you Mrs. Dodd for reminding all of us how important fathers are. Our ongoing theme at TIC for the year is having an attitude of gratitude – living our year in that attitude. This is a great opportunity to give thanks for the wonderful men that raised us, to give thanks for all of the wonderful men in our individual families who have stepped up to the plate and are great dads too; for each of the men out there who have been the nurturing force in someone’s life. Way to go! None of us would be who we are today without our mothers and fathers and this is a special day where we can take the time to let the fathers in our lives know how much we are thankful for everything they do for us. Happy Father’s Day!

Please note new time and day. This month on the first Wednesday right after our usual Crystal Bowl meditation circle, Rev. Rhonda has scheduled her beautiful Prayer Power Circle. She sets a beautiful vibration for this community Prayer Circle. You are invited to stay after meditation or to join the circle by 8 pm and add your light to the light of others as everyone joins together for this powerful night of prayer and healing.

Friday June 5th
we are planning our annual attendance at Super Summer Theater in Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. The production of Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story costs $10.00 per person in advance or $15.00 at the gate. We plan to have our picnic blanket right up front when the gates open at 6 pm. Saturday June 6th
at 5 PM Potluck and 6 PM fun filled, inspiring joyshop called Everyday Miracles. We can enrich our life through recognizing our everyday miracles. The potential for miracles is always around us. They are hidden from view by the way we think. Learn how to become an official/certified MR (Miracle Recognizer). Presented by Peggy Jones and PT Lenora Withrow. Love Donation please.
