It’s what college students look forward to all week. People will be heading off to restaurants, clubs, and parties. This semester, XYZ’s (BACCHUS and GAMMA Affiliate) is helping friends take care of friends by encouraging students to make the weekend fun, make it safe, and then, make it home! The Along These Lines campaign, a health and safety promotion program of The BACCHUS and GAMMA Peer Education Network, is a chance for XYZ University students to get ready for the weekend and learn how to have all the fun they want without engaging in high-risk activities such as impaired driving. Through a variety of interactive activities and events, the campaign promotes tips on how to stay safe by making educated decisions and forming responsible habits concerning alcohol, drugs and driving. The main goal of the campaign at XYZ University is to get students to make a plan before they go out to be responsible, not let their friends drink or use drugs and drive or ride with an impaired driver, and take advantage of designated driver programs.
