Call for Presentations
Next in a series, the theme for this MERN research forum is about Manitoba Education Research Network
“reaching out to all learners”. We know that persisting challenges in teaching and
learning continue to characterize education outside of the urban mainstream “Reaching Out to All Learners”
particularly for students in northern, rural, remote and high poverty communities.
We also know that there is a growing body of research on how alternative Friday, April 15, 2011
programs, policies and practices can respond in effective ways to these concerns. 9:00am – 3:30pm
Consideration of multiple perspectives, use of strengths-based approaches and Video/TelePresence
integrated technology applications are some examples of guiding strategies to
invigorate options for schools and schooling. The sessions will be delivered using Video Conference
Most welcome are research presentations, either recently completed and Cisco TelePresence at the following sites:
