As a general matter, assignments of contract rights are not required to use any special wording or to be in any particular form. Under the Uniform Commercial Code, an assignment of "the contract" or of "all my rights under the contract" or in similar general terms is an assignment of rights and, unless the language or the circumstances indicate the contrary, is a delegation of performance of the duties of the assignor. Acceptance of the assignment by the assignee constitutes a promise by the assignee to perform the duties delegated.
