Got the travel bug? You’re in the right place.

Girl Scout destinations, travel experiences that range from two days to three weeks for
Cadettes and older, can whisk you to the far corners of the world where you will meet
remarkable girls, develop leadership skills, gain confidence and enjoy valuable learning
opportunities.

Attend a destination event to find out more about upcoming destinations and how to
apply. Attend with your troop, with a friend or by yourself. Parents are welcomed too!

Thursday, October 14, Webinar, 7:00-8:00 PM----No Cost/Free

Cost: Girls: $5 (includes pizza) Adults: $3   A minimum of 15 girls pre-registered is needed.

Girl Scouts of Alaska destinations
GSAK offers destinations just for girls registered in our council. These trips are led by adult
volunteers and/or council staff. Girls work with their adult partners to plan an
unforgettable trip.

November 16, 2010                Applications due Alaska/Japan Exchange and Grand
                                 Canyon Explorers destination

March 1, 2011                    All applications for 2010 International destination to Japan

Alaska/Japan Exchange 2011                             Open to Girls grades 8-12

Help us continue and strengthen the bonds of friendship with the Japanese Girl Scouts. This is
your chance to help show off Alaska and what it has to offer while connecting with our sister Girl
Scouts from Japan.

Cost: $600 plus airfare to Anchorage                          Dates: TBA
Location: Alaska


Grand Canyon Explorers                                 Open to Girls grades 6-9

The Grand Canyon is an incredible place to visit and experience. Come explore the beautiful
terrain of the Grand Canyon by boat, hiking, possibly a horse ride and more. This trip will include
camping, hiking, teambuilding, and more.

Cost: $950 plus airfare                           Date: May 20-30, 2011 (Tentatively)
Location: Arizona                                   Minimum of 15 girl participants


Alaska/Japan Exchange 2012                             Open to Girls grades 8-11

Help us continue and strengthen the bonds of friendship with the Japanese Girl Scouts. Great
opportunity to connect with friends meets this past summer. The group will have the opportunity to
travel on their own around Japan as well experiencing home stays.

Cost: $3750 (fee all inclusive)                      Dates: TBA
